.MASSHOLE.Try any Friday night/Saturday any given season. I hate whatever idiot designed the on and off ramp locations for 95 to 93. They are abysmal.
US 3 isn't much better but at least the on/off ramp isn't a shit show and its a constant number of lanes almost the entire way.
Randy_QuenchMy hour long commute home north from manchester can easily double into a two hour commute on most fridays if I don't leave before the rush. Concord is the problem because it bottlenecks traffic down to 55mph.
Titus69Ive never encountered that area in Concord in Friday rush hour, I imagine its like dying. Plus you have to then go deal with staties everywhere on 93. Im working at a ski shop in Manchester by the mall and getting out at 5 then dealing with a cluster fuck of traffic lights and idiot drivers, fucking sucks.
DaphI'm sure its comparable to east coast driving. I've just gotten used to my tiny ski town bubble where we don't have any stoplights.

Charlie_KellyIdiot drivers is an understatement. I was driving 93n from Concord to Plymouth and encountered a person driving the opposite way in the passing lane (aka driving at us). Was pretty wild.
SconnieSpent the day in Seattle....Such a shell-shock, being from Wisconsin. I really dig the different "culture" that the Northwest has.

Titus69This is why Im taking gen ed classes at comm college, aside from poor grades, never doing the SAT or ACT, and applying to colleges.
But really I still have no clue and just dont want to waste a year of a loan trying to figure it out at some girl and drug filled campus
Kbob94Yeah I never wanted to do that and when I went to school which was only 15 weeks I was "guaranteed work" afterwards and yeah I'm still not doing any of that work.

OregonDeadThat's a pretty specific skill. A school for something like that should have job hook-ups and help you through the application process.
Kbob94Yeah that's what they said. But I've been applying for the last two years and nothing has come from it.
OregonDeadLame. The Feds are tightening down on private trade schools but a lot of them still sell a lot of hype when they don't really have good job placement rates.
Does your local community college have a career center that you can use for free? The one here is free even if you don't ever take a class. One of my co-workers used it and they proofed her resume' and did a mock interview. She thought it helped and ended up getting the job.
Kbob94Yeah I totally agree they're tightening down on stuff like that and yeah it's total bullshit all the hype and stuff they keep advertising when it's not true at all but as long as people are dumb enough to keep paying for the school they'll keep advertising it.
Yeah I think they do here is have to check. But I've honestly done more interviews and filled out my résumé more times then most people do in a lifetime. I'm so sick of it. Lol
OregonDeadIt's tough. First job in a field is usually the toughest to get. It's even worse if someone is unemployed. I've done hiring and if someone isn't currently working I always wonder why. When someone has a good job I feel like I'm stealing them away.
Good luck. Stick with it and eventually you'll land something.
