safarisamAt least you had an interview. I showed up for an interview yesterday, waited over 20 min and the interviewer never showed up.
DeebieSkeebiesWack, did they at least give you a reason to why it was a no-show? I fucking hate the hiring process so much and hate how shitty HR/managers are to people.
I got strung along last summer real bad. had an interview, was given a tour of this hotels property, got trained, had them tell me theyll be in touch with a work schedule, a few weeks went by and i call them to find out they decided to hire someone else.
safarisamFunny you should respond- just got a call from them. One of the cooks didn't show up for prep so the interviewer was int he kitchen and forgot.
That's so shitty. I really hate hiring processes.
DeebieSkeebiesGood to hear. Understandable but still wack. Is it a kitchen position?
Chubz.Really want to try out the revision blinks but also want my next pair of skis to be park skis considering I already have a pair of k106's. Hmm

hippy.I am leaving Ohio in 9 days to attend college at Sierra Nevada in Tahoe. Any tips to help cope with leaving family, significant others, and friends? Anything to help with the transition into college life?

CheddarJackJust remember that everyone's in the same boat. All the freshmen are happy to finally be at college but all have that void in their heart you're talking about and want to fill it. It's what makes the transition so big. So how do you fill that void? By meeting new people and making new friends.
The first week of college is hands down the most warm and inviting week of your life when it comes to meeting new people. All it takes is a "hey" to make a new friend 9 times out of 10.
Chubz.that is the plan
I have my kartels for powpow, they were a blast at snowbird in probably around 10 inches of snow, super fun. I just need a park ski and I think revisions will allow me to get a pair without breaking the bank.

.MASSHOLE.Well the first tri would be next summer and only an Olympic distance so .9m swim, ~25 mile bike, and 6m run. I would then sign up for a few more If I enjoy it before signing up for a half the next summer. So the full would potentially be 2020.
taylornickyGood for you, dude. I've done 3 sprint triathlons, and I love it.
.MASSHOLE.For me it was between racing bikes and doing triathlons, and living in the Northeast more or less solidified the choice due to the long winter months which make swimming and running easier to accomplish during the winter months.

taylornickyYeah for sure. Even biking is easy in winter indoors. Good for you. You'll have to keep us updated on your progress! It's an awesome accomplishment. Can't imagine doing a full one! Maybe one day I will haha
