same here, i think its a requirement in most resort/ski towns nowadays. Its better that way, though. I used to get mornings off during the winter on Saturdays and just couldn't handle the crowds, it makes you much more appreciative for the time you do get off mid-week.
i thoroughly enjoyed driving over to the canyon while it was dumping on a mid-week morning knowing you have the next 48 hours to ski as much pow as humanly possible while the drivers around you are punching their steering wheels on yet another brutal commute to the valley during a storm. small things like that make it awesome.
double post but fuck it. Vail withdrew their proposal to trademark "Park City", meaning a decent number of businesses in Park City would have had to pay up bullshit trademarking fees and stuff just to use those two words in their business name, which would amount to thousands of dollars which is really shitty for any small business owner.
Still would prefer them to get the fuck out of town but Powdr Corp isn't much better.

Having been in drag racing since I was a kid I have always really enjoyed motorsports. However, lately with school though, I've seemed to grow more distant to the sport and subsequently lost a lot of interest in it. I tried going to some road course and drift events and I really couldn't get into them either. Today I decided on a whim to go to a pro series off-road race and now I am pretty sure I am hooked.

We have all seen so many bands come and go, but BSB are still out their better than ever.
At one time all the late 80s to early 90s kids had a BSB poster on their bedroom wall, and a Millennium CD.

ive dealt with way worse scenarios for way less so im not worried. its a shit ton of work besides scooping turds up and hosing pee off of patios and stuff. full time with good pay and just happy to have something to hopefully fund all my winter shenanigans.
honestly im so burnt out from the service/hospitality field even after like 5 years of various service/guest service jobs so its a nice change of pace not having to put on some fake-ass happy façade saying "yes sir/ma'am" all the fucking time and taking it right up the ass for measly pocket change tip money so Im cool with it. basically just burnt out with having to deal with humans for a job, figured dealing with animals would be interesting.
a bit random change of topic but what is the preferred methods of grilling delicious steaks for some of us resident grill masters? I just marinated a few new York strips with some Worcestershire and threw some sea salt, pepper, and montreal steak seasoning on them bitches. My fuck, was it good.

Get your grill going nice and hot then throw dem bitches on for 4-5 minutes each side depending on thickness.
im 4-5 mins a side as well. Fuckin love red meats. Have you tried deer/venison before? Elk meat is very interesting but not bad at all.
I love elk and venison. I'll pretty much eat anything as long as I know it wont kill me. I've definitely tried some very.... interesting cuts of meat in the past few years. Venison breakfast sausage is absolutely delicious though.
Thinking about starting a van project soon or possibly looking into fixing up a tear drop trailer or something to live and ski bum in next year. Why don't I see more dirtbags with trailers as opposed to vans? Any advice on becoming a full time gypsy is appreciated.
.Hugo.Venison is the best meat there is imo. So many things you can make of it and tastes so damn good.
The other week my brothers buddy gave us some bear meat. I was surprised at how good that was. Hell i think any freshly hunted animal is amazing
I tried moose for the first time last fall, holy shit. so fucking good. Wasn't as much of a fan of bear, but I could see if it was cooked right it could be pretty darn tasty.
Def gonna shoot a muley this fall and a bunch of grouse. Don't think I'm gonna get an elk this year, that's a whole shitload of meat and my chest freezer isn't very big.

Seems like a trailer would be a lot harder to park and navigate the parking lot. Especially on a pow day.
That thing is perfect. I'm with you, I'd rather find one with a high ceiling than try and make my own. Sweet build tho!

I suppose you're right. But a teardrop trailer is tiny, so that shouldnt be as much of an issue as a full on camper. The only other drawback I can think of is the incognito-ness. It's much easier to post up for the night with a van that looks empty as opposed to a camper.
