my mom got mad at me for hanging out with my boyfriend too much. she also got mad at me for being on the computer at midnight on a friday.

have you ever considered the fact that perhaps you ARE hanging out with your boyfriend too much? because I have seen lots and lots of people leave their friends behind and become totally over absorbed in their relationship, only to end up losing those friends and being one of those weird couples that have no friends but each other.

not trying to sound like your mom, just saying. try seeing it from her point of view, dont let yourself be that stupid ignorant teenage girl who is always right in her own mind.

I'm just going to add to this and say something on your other point. If it's a Friday night, maybe you should be out doing something and not at home sitting on the computer. Get out there with your friends and have fun. There are other way more ideal times to be on the computer.

If my Dad notices i left my room's light on, he stands next to the light switch yelling my name until he finds me, then demands that i come up stairs to turn off instead flicking it off himself, its kind of ridiculous.

I mean i would understand if i forgot to turn my light off all the time but this happens less than once a month.

OMG i feel your pain. I was watching Tosh.o and she came out when some idiot jumped of something naked and she went off about why i was watching a tv show with a bunch of naked guys. my parents found a straw next to an empty plastic bag and assumed I was doing cocaine. They drug tested me (i failed for bud but that was chillin) and I came up clean for cocaine so it was cool.
