they are safer, last longer, get better gas mileage, are cheaper, more easily available, easier/cheaper to fix...

also what if the VHS isnt rewound yet..... it took fucking forever just to get back to the start. if i put in a VHS and it was at the end of the movie i just said fuck it and watched a different one

Your truck is still going because it's clearly had some good owners, and you still take good care of it. Do that with anything, and it'll last awhile.

I don't see too many other cars from 40 years ago still cruising around requiring as little attention as a car from say, the 90s.

then we had wooden skis. no stupid 200 dollar bindings to break and you could make them yourself.

now our skis are super expensive and made of complicated materials like p-tex and fiberglass. i sure wish i could go back.
