really though im jealous of all you guys who went to the midnight premiere, im going tonight and im stoked. i think that 7 part 1 was better then all of the other movies, so part 2 should be awesome. fuck yeah battle of hogwarts

I really liked the movie. They left out some stuff and changed some but I think it worked well for the movie. It just made me glad I read the book to get the details they left out.
I didn't really like the 19 years later part. I just couldn't take it serious because of how they tried to make them look older. I thought they all just looked goofy, like Malfoys facial hair.

awesome movie went and saw the premiere and I felt left out cuz i left my wand so i climbed a tree and broke off a branch and made it as best i could while waiting in line. Girl next to me was freakinmg out covering her eyes and was crying at the end. The whole thing was legit sooooo sad its all over. ITs a good thing that i still have all my books. Emma Watson is a babe and the movie was legit and i will pro bally see it like 4 more times. HARRY POTTER FTW

overall it was really good i thought. the only things i didnt like were how voldemorts death was super anticlimactic compared to other deaths in the movie/series and they failed to explain how harry came back from limbo. but other than those things it was excellent!

its cause harry was the 7th horcux and when voldemort 'killed' harry  he really killed the last horcrux

It was because he killed the part of his soul that was in harry, not harry himself.

personally, i thought they did a pretty damn good job with the movie but it still wasn't as satisfying as the book

yeah...they needed to explain that more, and also the nasty babylookingish voldemort in limbo was the part of voldemort that was inside of harry that was dying because he (harry) sacraficed him self for everyone which is what he was supposed to do in order to beat voldemort.

I'm just super pissed how they didn't explain that harry had the hallows and was the master of death, and that his cloak of invisibility was the cloak from the story....it's liked they skipped the entire meaning of the title haha.

so true, even the first book was better. I remember reading it before the movie when i was like 9 years old. I can still remember the images I came up with in my head about fluffy, when Harry, Ron, and Hermione got stuck in the thorn bush, and the chess set just blew my mind when I was reading. I stopped reading after halfway through the 4th book because it just became so much less imaginative because, imo, you could tell she was writing to make movies

The 4th book and movie were one of my least favorite without a doubt, that and Chamber of Secrets, but I used to like it when I was younger.
I loved the books, I remember being stoked for a new one to come out.

god the third one was so exciting, probably the best book i ever read, and i was only like 10. i remember getting the fourth one the day it came out and was so bored by it that i stopped reading Harry Potter all together. I hated that the first 100 pages were at the fucking quidditch match. The beginning of the Chamber of Secrets was my favorite because I had no idea what to expect

Third one was so good, i just hated how in the movie they left out Sirius giving Ron an owl because Scabbers died. Right after I gave up on HP the first Series of Unfortunate Events book came out and I read every sigle one of them. I really hope they make movie of the last 9 books because that was such a good series

I hated the third. Movie and Book. Also hated the second. Loved the 6th and 7th and of course the first. Didnt care for the fourth very much and the fifth was to long to give a shit about, plus after reading the longest book the only worth while part was the fight between voldemort and Dumbledore.

What made anyone think that snape was Harrys father? thats abusrd. He was just in love with lilly his entire life. In the books its more explained why he protects harry and why he turns on voldy.

It was a good movie but they left out key points like why he was able to get out of the white room after he died. And it also pissed me off that they downplayed everyone who died in the final battle. It was just like oh hey these people are dead...

Read the books, you will love HP that much more.

the end was just so anti climatic. just think of the end of Return of the Jedi or Return of the King. it was just like "ohhp he's dead, lets just sit here and not celebrate"
the final battle was anti climatic too. I would have liked to see them dual longer, it lasted like 30 seconds

I remember reading the book, and there was one BANGER line in, something like "We will stay and fight" and everyone kinda realized it was going to be the most ep wizard battle ever, and everyone was going to die. Then, I also remember the actual battle being written so well I could see it. I felt like they really downplayed that part of it, could have included some incredible shots. I was bummed about that.

Besides that, loved the movie. VERY sad it's over. I wish I was a wizard for sure. I always hoped one day I'd get home from school and have an invite to Hogwarts in the mail.

Oh, and the 19 years later was dumb. Maybe I'm forgetting from the books, but Ron shouldn't have gotten fat.

All I kept thinking about was the episode of South Park where Cartman thinks he's more mature because he glues pubes to his face. They had several years to figure out how to make them look older or cast someone that looked enough like the actors to appear as an older version of themselves....

the whole theatre was laughing loudly where I was at that part.

Same. I don't think anyone was even watching at that point. Hermione looked the same in her "30s" as she did throughout the whole movie. Your Cartman description for Ron was perfect. That scene was so disappointing

aaaaah i am so sad! the midnight premiere was totally legit, as it always is. i dressed up, harry potter has the power to make me reach my highest level of nerd. HP4LYFE


also, its not totally over. yall should check out pottermore.com. its a thing JK Rowling is making, with added unreleased HP material.
