Do pictures you post HAVE to be uploaded to NS first?

I've been a member of this site for a looong time now, and just came to the realization that i have only uploaded a few pictures. Ever. For my profile, though, not just posting on random threads. I just tried to link a photo of mine onto a thread and it took me to NS pictures. Do I have to have any picture I post uploaded onto there first? Thanks

Nope you can post pictures from any site on the internet.

Just, right click, copy image url, paste that link inbetween [img] [/img], tags

example: type it out like this with the img address there

The new media handling system will make it a ton easier to post pictures directly in the forums. You'll be able to upload a file, post it and blammo you're done.

And yes, everything will be private by default. :)

You're just going to have to remember that now in order to put something in the gallery you'll have to upload it and then send it there.
