Problem iSyncing contacts on iPod

So here's my problem, anyone with help would be appreciated...

I busted by old iPod, no problem, under warranty, got a new one. The new one synched all my contacts once, and now whenever I try to do it again (to add phone #'s, etc.), it goes through the motions, saying it is synching the changes, but then they don't show up on the iPod, and it keeps saying it is synching the changes no matter how many times I keep trying to do it.
My calendar syncs fine, which confuses me more. Any help would be great. Thanks a lot.

Have you tried manually syncing to see if any contacts will actually transfer?

I am going through the same problem right now with iTunes and my music. When I sync and Automatically Update, I get an unknown error and it won't transfer the songs midway through the update. And the songs that iTunes says have been transfered haven't.

When I called Apple, they told me that I should check to see if the songs transfered manually, which a few did. But if I tried large amounts then they would not transfer. Try that, maybe it will work, maybe not. Good luck with it.
