Marker Squire on powder skis?

I have a problem...I have Lines SFB 011 and i´m searching a bindings for it. I found for goog price Marker Squire, but i don´t know if i can use this binding for pow skis like sfb´s because they´re often called "freestyle binding" not "freeride"...

I've heard a LOT of bad things about the squires, apparently the durability is shit due to them replacing some metal parts with plastic ones in the interest of weight.

its all about the weight of the skier and how hard your going to ride the binding, mixed with skill. That being said unless your super light or a teenager, or both, I wouldn't recommend squires let alone griffons... Do yourself a favor and invest in a nice binding, that is if you need it  based on your din setting you need. I recommend Deadbolt/mojo/peak 15's, Fks/pivots, or a nice salomon binding. IMO there's just way to many problems with markers cheap all plastic bindings exploding for no reason. It happened to me personally and if you look at the griffon in your hands if you can't see/ feel the cheapness of the make then well you probably shouldn't be skiing...

my brother has them on his pow skis, super light nothing broken. they seem good,

but then again... hes only like 100 pounds..

im 15 and 115lbs, and i plan on putting squires on my pow skis. they've treated me pretty well on my old extremes

if you weigh under 150 they are great.

I rocked squires last year on my park skis just because they were light. worked great.



A friend of mine, intern for line rocks them on his ep pros

Not a big fan of Markers. All of my friends i know of that ride them talk about how they break and bust all of the time. Go with Rossi's, they're pretty solid.

U will have to replace them, when u get a little bigger and fill out, but they will work for now. I would suggest looking for the rossi freeski 120, if ur looking for a price point binding, u should be able to find them cheap some where, and as almost everyone says, rossis have never done me wrong

You can definitely use a squire on that ski. But don't. Its a consumer-quality product with low din capability. It is designed for the average recreational skier and is a joke of a binding. Its the binding left behind at the end of the season and sold to skiers who do not care about the quality of their bindings. If you must go marker, go griffon (or a marker AT binding if you wanted).

Instead I would move toward a Salomon STH 12/14, or fks 14 (if you want a pivot). Either of those bindings, though more difficult to find and more expensive, will be more durable and consistent than any downhill binding marker makes. If you have to, wait until next year and buy a new pair.

due iam a tech in jackson hole, those bindings are a joke the heel piece housing is completely plastic dont waist your time get the griffon

ye guys thanx for yours replies...i´m weight something about 140-150 lbs so maybye squires wouldn´t be bad, bud finaly i think i will get the griffon. I don´t want to devalue my skis with bad binding!;)

The housing on the heel piece of both the griffon and the squire is completely plastic... I wouldn't recommend either. It's just that the squire is an absolute joke imo. When u look at the 3 prong housing on the heel piece of the squire it just makes me want to laugh at all the cheap people trying to save a buck on a binding, after they get done buying a decent ski. Theres a reason bindings like fks/pivots go back soooo many years on the indemnified list year in and year out, while companies like marker have recalls, year in and year out... And don' think about it in the aspect of the  value of your skis, get something solid so your health will stay intact, like your ski. Once a heel explodes on your binding you'll never buy plastic again...
