Eagle scout

i quit scouts about a year ago and was thinking about going back for the eagle scout.. it could possible help me with college and many other things in life. i was wondering if i should go back to get it or no? please dont hate

i only did scouts for like 2 years when i was like 7, so i dont know what im really taking about. first off, is it even possible to just rejoin where you left off. And if it is possible you should go for it. looks good on college applications and job applications not to mention the life experience you can gain from completing the scouts. I know a few people who are eagle scouts and from what ive heard its not easy. If i were you, i would got for it

If you want to go get Eagle, then go back and get Eagle. It's not something we can be like yeah, you should totally do this because everyone else is doing it because they aren't. The facts are that Eagle Scout takes time, commitment, and work to obtain. it's not the easiest thing in the world but it is beneficial if you think it is. I am an Eagle Scout and I'm very happy that I got it but it's not a huge talking point in interviews or anything, it's just another great experience and I guess it does help a bit on your resume but there are many other things that can be done.


sorry for my short ramblings, clifnotes of it: if you want Eagle, go get Eagle. You should not be asking for the internets permission.

I got it last year and it is what got me into Northeastern, I had alright SAT scores and I didn't even have a 3.0 GPA but I still got in. Go for it, people are ALWAYS impressed when you tell them that you're an eagle scout and adults always say they regret not getting it if they started scouts and then stopped

thats why i mostly want to get it cause of getting into college and stuff. i think i will rejoin im a star and was almost a life scout. i hope i can countinue how i left and i have more than enough time to get. thanks everyone!

I am an Eagle Scout and its totally worth it.
The first couple years is pretty gay, but you learn to have fun and fuck around in your own way.

When you say you are an Eagle Scout, people kind of seem to have a universal respect for you. Its weird.

And to the people who think its a cockblock: only if you are already hit with the ugly stick.

People always want to say this to me but I never had a problem. I feel like it's just what socially awkward people do to blame the fact they have no game on something. I've used the Boy Scout angle to my advantage multiple times.

I was a tiger scou in kinder garten then the one above it. maybe wolf?? hahah i always thought it would be dope to be weeblo or whatever. Idk i don't feel like i missed out on anything but i have a few buddies who did eagle scouts an they enjoyed it. And they aren't friendless virgins contrary to what some people think of scouts as. I'd rather have a friend who was an eagle scout than a friend who went to the gym everyday if i was stranded in the wilderness.

I kinda regret dropping it. Scouts was the nerdy thing to be involved in, but it seems like years down the road everyone who stayed involved is glad they did and everyone who dropped it wishes they wouldn't have.

My brother learned a ton from being an Eagle Scout.

1. He learned how to set trees and other large and important buildings/items on fire.

2. He learned how to build bombs and use them to their maximum potential.

3. He learned how to dual-wield switchblades.

4. He learned how to smoke weed.....a lot of it.......from his troop master.

4. He also learned valuable life skills such as how to fight small animals and become a negative, sociopathic, and tempermental person.

5. Also he goes to a shitty college and is graduating a year late because he's an un-disciplined bitch.\

I know, I fucked up the numbers, no going to change them now.

I put in at my local public bike park, bike stands and I put in eco friendly benches. My troop also adopted the park and we help contain it. The hardest part is the details, where you have to describe every thing.

My troop, troop number 1 (literally, we were troop number one) had alot counter culture type in it. Most of the kids in my troops got pussy, did a shit ton of drugs and had an awesome time. It was the best.

Eagle was a good decision, but still a pain in the ass for me.

I got my eagle two years ago, still cant say it helped me get a job or into college like everyone said it was, but i still get complements on it and such. Just dont expect it to make or break a job.

Wow I didn't think there were this many scouts on ns! We should make a cult haha. Everyone says svouts is gay but if you do stuff with the right kids it's super chill. How is camping, hiking, screwing around with fires and doing other shit like that not fun?

i got mine last year.  i contemplated quitting because i listened to the kids that try and put it down and say how its nerdy and shit. but i learned so much and i realized that quitting would have been one of the biggest regrets of my life.

plus, unless youre ugly, telling girls you braved hikes and slept under the stars only helps. the cockblock thing is bs.
