Everyday is a Saturday is one of my fav ski movies. Wasnt a fan of revolver though. SHould be interesting to see what they do this year

EDIAS was sick. revolver was not. i hope pbp makes a good comeback, i'm excited for their trailer the most.

tbh, i wasnt really feeling the after dark trailer. idk why. i'm stoked for attack of la nina though, looks sick

meh I'm skeptical about the movie. They did go on some sick trips, but I feel like the editing and music selections won't be anything spectacular.

why do you say that? i've seen online that Will Start is editing which is dope because he is a sick editor and i bet that they are working hard to kill it because after last years movie they are fucked if they don't make something sick.

I no longer work for PBP. I shot for them all year but it wasn't really working out and I left in the end of May when shooting wrapped.

It just wasn't really a good fit.

Damn...you don't like thomas' work? I loved Journal and the Theory 3 flicks. I didn't like how much screen time they devoted to Dane and the other theory 3 crew in revolver, but besides that I am definitely a fan. I think I have bigger issues with movies like yeah dude where some of the other pbp guys had a lot of control. Looking forward to seeing what Johnny came up with this year.

Everyone makes a good flick, everyone has different strengths and vibes they stick to. But calling a company trash is not worth posting unless you actually back it up with credible statements. Some of these companies your talking trash on are probably the ones that exposed the sport to you! And have allowed for such innovations.

WME makes great segments with a story line and a purpose.
L1P has very innovative park and urban segments.
MSP everything big mountain and back country with epic slow mo shots and a movie with comedic attitude
TGR usually very strong with big mountain and powder skiing and brings out the powder hound in all of us
PBP is the OG for urban park and ski porn and have evolved into great stories through Windsurfing flicks and ski movies as well.

Bringing down a company just because you don't like there style is worthless and totally unproductive to anything in skiing.

that's your opinion, and that's fine. Atleast your backing it up with something rather than just calling them trash...which was the point of my mini-rant, if you read what I put though, they've changed there flow a little over the years and are still putting out a great product. Have you seen there Windsurfing flicks?

I haven't seen any of their other movies, ive only seen their ski movies and thats all im referring too. The windsurfing movies are probably sick cause johnny actually makes them...

because jeff and tyler mad revolver, by far one of the worst ski movies ive seen. it was way too long, way to repetitive, the music suck and overall as a movie it just wasn't put together very well. Im very happy the new dudes (or one of them) is out and johnny is back in taking control of the situation.

Understandable. I agree that it was definitely a notch below War, Ski porn, and Johnny's other great films. But don't discredit the other guys completely for one bad movie. (Jeff thomas did make Journal afterall which is personally my favorite film)

I think its a major loss to the PBP crew now that Thomas is no longer producing his baker/backcountry segments. My guess is this next film is gonna be way less brandon kelly, charlie ager, riley leboe, and josh stack, and way more double/triple mania in the park. Personally, If i want to see more doubles/triples, I'd just watch xgames/JOI highlights. Good progressive backcountry (not big mountain) is hard to find in films these days.

the only problem I had with Revolver was the repetition of urban features, like they would show the same exact trick off the same feature just different people. But overall I thought the movie was good (not as good as eye trip) but it was good and had some excellent segments ie. Jossi, JP, Julien if they didnt use that already used song by Mattafix.

why are you allways hating? just sit back and enjoy the skiing, even if the cinematography and editing is not that good, its all skiing. if u are not happy with the filming editing etc, just get chris nolan to direct a skimovie. hahh
