Moving to Van

Hey, so I am moving to Van at the end of August I was hoping someone would be able to give me a heads up about what's in the area I'll be living in. I'll be around west 41st and Larch, which I believe is called Kerrisdale?

Any info would be much appreciated, and I'm game for meeting people too!

I live near 41st and Dunbar. Kerrisdale is nice in the sense that its safe, clean and quiet. But its one of those  areas that kinda feel like Whoville, has Christmas lights up all year and full of Lululemon moms and starbucks dads, so not much character. But not  a bad area.

I don't mind the idea of a place not having a ton of character, I'm coming straight from hickville so pretty much anything is going to be different for me.

congrats on making the move to vancity!  Ya that area is a little ways outside of all the hustle and bustle and that but Vancouver has really good transit so getting downtown for a night out or anything like that is no problem.  There are tons of places to meet people.  Depends on what kind of scene you like.  but anywhere on main or commercial or some bars like astoria on hastings are pretty dope places to go out.  pm me if you have any questions, born and raised there so ask away!

Okay, so I will be living out in Burnaby and commuting every day to school which kind of sucks but oh well, that's life.

Anywho, I play slo-pitch (don't have hardball or fastball where I live) and I was wondering if any of you know if there are any fall leagues around down there somewhere that I could possibly join when I move down September first.
