If ur in a car and have no drugs on your person but...

someone else in the car has a extremely large bag full of a schedule 1 drug on their person. you have no prior drug arrests, and are not the driver.

if for some reason the cops find it, are you safe or is everyone in the car getting taken to jail?


basically im trying to decide if i should go on a car ride tommorow with a person who will be doing fat work.

If you are aware of the drugs in the car then yeah I'm pretty sure you're getting locked up.

if you claim you had no idea and were a hitchhiker and everyone else verified your story because you were on probation would that be straight you think?


but form what im gathering it sounds like they can charge you pretty much at their discretion if your in the car

if your not the driver, its not your car, and its not on you, then you should be fine as long as you claim you had no idea and the others in the car back you up

Whether or not you're "aware" doesn't matter. You think every kid out there doesn't claim they were "unaware" ? Of course nobody admits to knowing it was in the car... thus guilt by association.

You're in the car with drugs, you're guilty. Cops have no reason to believe you saying you didn't know they were there.

god damn america is fucked when it comes to drugs...my friend was in a similar situation in whistler...driver got arrested, my friend was told to walk home.

yes it is. if you/your friends get in any trouble, that shows you are not intelligent enough to even handle a small amount of drugs. Know your rights, don't be a dumb ass, and you have absolutely nothing to worry about

idk ive been in that situation a couple times and both times the cops yelled at me and told me i was gonna get kicked out of school etc but nothing ever happened. so i mean it can go either way but i wouldnt worry all that much about it unless youre about to apply to med school or are on probation or something you know

It's not a myth at all you can get charged for manslaughter for psilopsybin, and mdma, among plenty of other controlled substances it's just really rare if it's not very large weight but if you're straight working in traffic yeah you can get manslaughter.

well then as i said before...god damn america is fucked when it comes to drugs. i got arrested in canada for having a half o of m on me with intent to sell, it was an illegal search but if i was charged i would have been looking at about a year max

this. i got pulled over with a stupid amount of weight driving back from colorado and nothing happened. cops dont just go around searching cars. just dont be sketchy, dont smoke in the car, and dont drive like an asshole and youre fine.
