and second if you comprehended the story correctly her parents were in a bad situation getting divorced which you probably don't understand how difficult it is...and she goes from partying to failing school to finding a guy that she really likes who inspires her to change and she goes against her new beliefs and parties one night and embarrasses herself in the worst possible way....you're telling me you wouldn't think about suicide even a little? you're an idiot...sure we have different music tastes but that doesn't make the story he's telling a stupid one....

let's not praise a song for being "deep" because it was set to some melodramatic video with a pretty couple.  bitch shouldn't have been sluttin around.  there's far better talent rapping about far "deeper" stuff than that.

...not saying it was awful, i just think there's some overreaction going on

does it really matter how "deep" the storyline is? yea, its a cheesy story, whatever. it gets the point across. stop caring about how "deep" the video actually is and all the bull shit..


more people are depressed and have suicidal thoughts than you think. and pretty sure thats what this video is getting at. not how some chick cant handle her alcohol, or blah blahh..

people have shitty lives. people make mistakes. people regret stuff. and some of those people get to the point where they cant deal with it anymore.

a close friend of mine committed suicide march 2nd of this year.. and i sure as hell dont know why. and neither does anyone else that i know of.

suicide affects so many people. and you dont realize it until it happens to someone close to you. so stop being analytic assholes about it, and actually care about and know whats going on in the lives of the people you call your friends.

sorry, i just thought it was cheesy. i understand the seriousness of the subject. but you and i both know without the theatrics this song is pretty average in comparison to other rap songs of a similiar theme.  i'm sorry for your loss, though.

Im not ripping becuz he isnt black. So we are supposed to feel sorry here for ms newton, when infact she is being a rich bitch and fucking up in school and wasting her life then some guy comes along and points her in the right direction and is now her boyfriend and she then acts like a total slut and then kills herself....i dont understand why we should feel sorry for her or sad at all for her...he was pointing her life in the right direction then fucked some guy cuz shes a slut.....sure the divorce would of been hard on her but why would she kill herself

For me the reason I liked it was less about why exactly she killed herself and more about the lyrics and play on words. I like the lines that were like, "doesn't believe in god, so she believes in True Religions," that sort of thing. It's more clever and interesting than the typical drugs/money/bitches crap we always hear. I also liked how the beginning and end of the video was the same, but you look at it differently at the end (ie her holding the razor in the shower).

I do have one question though. I know when you're drunk, you're dumb as hell, but did she know what she was doing or was too drunk to know what was going on? I mean, I don't think she would've cheated on her boyfriend and it's not that hard to say no even if you're drunk.

word. If a girl is slutty when she's drunk, it's a safe bet that she's slutty when she's sober, too. I've been pretty fucking hammered a time or two but never once have I forgotten the difference between right and wrong. Cheating on your boyfriend is wrong, and the "but I was drunk!" excuse is bullshit.
