(CBS)- Level 1 Productions is known for its yearly release of the best freeskiing films out there. This year, "After Dark" takes it to a whole new level (pun intended), with death-defying jumps, and tricks with moves that will leave you stunned and absolutely speechless.

It is a video shot with some of the world's best and most extreme freeskiers out there, so you know the action will be incredible. But the camera work is truly awesome, exposing us to a reality we rarely are a part of, a visual experience unlike anything we've seen.

While this is just the trailer, the entire film is set to be released on September 9th, 2011, so get ready to be blown away in a few months when footage like this hits the big screen.

its not like the mountain will be any more crowded then it is now the only difference is that they will be on skis. personally i would much rather a mountain full of 10 year old skiers then 10 year old snowboarders because then they have to actually learn how to ski before going down a black diamond unlike snowboarder where you can just face sideways and scrap off all the snow which means more powder to the good skiers

very true. this is good for the sport. skiing will never be too main stream and i expect that many people are now aware of our sport who before now had no idea of its existence. skiing in the olympics is also good in my opinion now i can say 'fuck you' to all the dicks and snowboarders who say 'skiings not a sport!'

Jesus you guys REALLY over estimate the fan base of the Olympics. People will care about freeskiing for 2 weeks and get on with their everyday lifes. I watch curling every winter Olympics, but I certainly don't have the desire to throw down. BMX racing has in the summer Olympics since 2008 have you seen a surge in BMX cross? Or ski cross?

How long have you been freeskiing? Unless it was before 01 sorry you missed it ever being core.

actually i did decide to curl after the olympics, my local ice rink where i used to play started a legue, one of the most of thing i have ever done!

and i think ski cross has gotten a lot of attention from the olympics, before x-games was its biggest stage and the amount of people that competeed usasa this year was outragous for skier cross.

*scrape  lol.....I agree that the traffic at ski resorts will remain basically the same...however I think the parks will be more crowded thus forcing the ski resorts to offer different parks for different skill levels. If anything the resorts will make a killing charging for park passes.

agreed, and to the person above you, im not saying people that have never stepped foot on snow in their life are suddenly going to have a calling to start skiing, all im saying is that people who aleready ski, or snowboard on the other hand, are going to see freeskiing and some, certainly not all, probably not even most, but a good number for sure are going to "make the switch". and i have been skiing since '97. I dont know how that was relevant in your post at all.

skicross is blowing up, usasa is getting huge, holeshot tour is gaining momentum, and clubs are starting to pick up on it.

i think skiing as a whole is blowing up pretty big, and this is just adding to it
