G-Suit Vesting

Hey NS,
So I recently bought a Salomon G-Suit jacket and I really want to vest it, but I also want to keep it like it is and not hurt it so I came to the conclusion of having a tailor or someone similar professionally cut off the sleeves and then attach zippers onto the sleeves so I could zip them on and off similar to this year's Orage B-Dog. The reason I'm making a thread is because I was wondering if anyone has ever done with before with a jacket/coat before? If so, how expensive is it? That's one of the main things that concerns me: the cost. So please help me out. Thanks NS!

Hello , not long ago a sewer did my jacket.It cost me around 10 bucks.All i did was i bought myself green zippers because the jacket is green.The only problem i had was, under the sleeves of the jacket there are zippers idk what you call them but u get the idea , they are on the way where he cuts to make VEST and that can make you problem , my zippers dont work but the vest is a G and i can make put my sleeves on and off when i want.
P.S really sorry i dont know whatcha call the zippers under the sleeves.Anyways hope i helped a bit but i think if you explain them what you want , every sewer can do this.

^ this , thanks man! For the G'suit guy , man i dont think it would be a lot cheaper because the zippers cost around 2bucks..i got mine because they match my jacket and they aren't so visible that way.Just go to a repair shop and ask them , eplain them what you want they will be able to do it.

Thats a good idea, it'd look sick and be functional. Try and get taped seams so the zips will be waterproof.

I had the same idea, my mom says the zippers are cheap but to get it turned into a vest, might be a lot. She said around $40 dollars. but i bet its different at each tailor

I'm not sure what that is haha. I'm kind of a noob when it comes to sewing. My mom has a lot of experience with sewing and is pretty good so she helps me out a lot. I think there is a custom hoodie cult. I'm sure they would know. Good luck!

That would fall under Henrik tall. I drew it a little out of proportion. The actual hoodie will hit the lower part of my knees.
