FS: Nikon D90 with 18-105

Here is a D90 my buddy is trying to sell, copy and pasted from his PBN post.

This is a gorgeous used Nikon D90 body with an 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. Both are in excellent shape, the only flaw is a cosmetic one; there is a very very small nick in the hard plastic on top of the camera body. Otherwise the lense and camera are flawless. This camera takes stunning pictures, and I've enjoyed using it. The D90 is a very high quality camera capable of shooting profesional grade photos, and when purchased used, the price is at a reasonable consumer level. This camera is user friendly and versatile with it's complete manual settings as well as optional point and shoot capabilities. In addition this is the first DSLR camera made with the ability to shoot full 720p HD video!!! The 18-105mm zoom lense is amazing, it is in my opinion the perfect combination, it takes great closeups, and I can take great zoom shots when I need it too. The lens flower hood is cracked, but it's a cheap accessory and still functions fine.

Another note. Avoid buying this camera if your looking for video unless your just doing time lapses. It has a warp effect when moved from side to side. Otherwise amazing camera!

I forgot to add: He's selling the kit for $800 or the body for $650. He will accept other offers, just please don't waste his time with lowballs.

Do the Nikon D40,D40x and D60? They run on ccd sensors?

None of them have movie capabilities. The D90 was the first DLSR to have an HD movie mode.

called Rolling Shutter. as has been said, any DSLR has this problem. there are ways to avoid it, and most people won't even notice it

I'm interested in the lens. Have you had a filter on the end to protect the lens glass? If not are there ANY dots/ scratches that show up at all whatsoever in the photos. (I'm super anal about quality of the shot so before buying I'd have to be certain of the quality.)How careful have you been about dust entering the lens when it is removed from the body?

Lots of questions but very interested in the lens for $150. Its a vr ed right?
