2 Q's: Pow skis + park ski edges.

Yo,

2 quick questions for you guys,

1. At the beginning of last season i lost a ski in the park which then flew down to the bottom and went under the snow and was lost until the end of the season when the lifties picked it up after the snow had melted. The bindings seem in pretty mint condition still, the edges are obviously fairly rusted but i'm just wondering if it will be fine after a quick service? Or could there be some damage to the core of the ski or anything like that?

2. Looking for some nice powder skis for next season. I'm only planning on using them off piste and so no need for any park/pipe specs or anything etc. I'd prefer them to be cheap obviously. I'm about 177cm tall. Currently riding some 161 Lords (i know that's small but they are a lot of fun to jib with) and some scratch sprayer fs 168's (which i used for about 10 minutes before losing one for the season!). So looking for something lots bigger to shred the european powder with. Not too clue'd up on fat skis so any help is appreciated. Thanks

Skis should be fine. Definitely still ride them, if the core is bad, you will know when thru break

Yeah your lost ski should be alright.  As for a pow ride how much do you weight and are you looking for something for straight lining, something super playful and jibby, or something in between?  There are so many choices out there these days that all makes a big difference.

Thanks for the replies. I weigh approximately 70kg. I'm looking for something for rock jumps and small cliffs and would like to play around so yea i guess something playful and jibby. +k and all that.

 If you don't want to go super wide probably the Line Blends in the 178, the Rossignol Scimitar in the 178, or the Scott Dozer in the 175cm.  The Blend with be the softest and most park like, the Scimitar is the most all mountain, and the Dozer is pretty good mix of both.

If you want to get a proper powder ride the Line Sir Francis Bacon in the 178,  Armada JJ in either the 175 or 185, or the Faction 3.Zero in the 175cm.  The Bacon may be the best ski ever built and does everything well, the JJ is more of a true powder shape and lacks some of the all mountain qualites but cannot be be when the snow is right, and the 3.Zero is a pretty straight forwad but playful ski.

All six of these has some rocker to them, the first three are all 100mm or smaller under foot and the second group of three are all between 108mm and 115mm underfoot.
