Enlarging pow ski quiver, help!

im looking for a new pair of pow skis for next year.
im 19 years old so i wont grow any more, weigh 170 lb and am 6 foot 1 tall. currently my pow ski is the hell bent 189 from 09/10. i have punx as a park ski. im not getting rid of the bentleys, i just want to add a pow ski to my current set.

should i get the AK JJ? i dont really charge hard and do huge cliff drops that much, but like doing fast turns on mellower slopes and hitting bc booters. I will not be skiing 3 ft of champagne pow on a daily basis.

currently im leaning towards the AK JJ because i like the idea of the elf shoe technology and that it comes in a 195. but i was also looking at the rocker 2 from salomon. which one of the two would you choose and which one would fit my current quiver best?
what other skis should i consider? i dont want a ski too similar to the bentleys.

note: unfortunately i cannot buy ON3P skis or any skis that come from the US because custom fees and shipping rates would make them too expensive.

Go for the AK JJ but know that it is quite a bit stiffer than the standard JJ.  The Rocker 2 is just a more narrow version of your Hellbents but only with tip rocker.

oh, and i was kinda feeling the idea of the no edge in the tip and tail to cut weight on the rocker 2s, because the weight is a bit of an issue withe the bentleys in tight trees. but im kinda sceptical when salomon claims an innovative idea concearning edges.

Well personally I would recommend the JJs (not sure about the akjjs as i have never riden those).

If I'm not in the park i'll ride my jjs all day, err day! - They work really well everywhere all the time - Great to carve with on piste and can charge through old crusted snow with ease. (and float on pow obviously) Also consider the bentchetlers but i prefer the jjs as the bentchetlers required more effort to carve on hardpark i found - but they are still good in the pow

yeah i was thinking about the bentchetlers, but imo theyre too similar to my hellbents. i was thinking about a reverse sidecut reverse camber ski, like the donnerparty, but im not sure where to get them here in europe and if 186 will be a sufficient length. but it should actually, since it would have alot more surface area. im just a bit sketched about its hard pack performance which for obvious reasons will be not impressive. since im not skiing untracked bottomless pow all day and like speeding down groomers.

i would say ak jj would be nice to add to your set, you already have a nice fat pow ski in the bents, and you said you like turning nice turns on the slopes and from what ive heard about the ak's is that they are an amazing carving ski. the jj might be a bit to short for you as the only part on the snow is about 140ish.

so ak jj + you+ snow= love

Look into the line SFB or the Regular JJ. It doesn't sound like the AK would fit you well.

well you say you don't charge hard and don't huck huge cliffs, well that's pretty much what the AK JJ is designed for so idk on that one...

I mean for your specs it sounds like your hellbents fit perfectly...

I can get a pair of donner parties back to the lift line. It can be annoying, but I've found it is not really an issue.

Why are you looking for a new pure pow ski if you already have the bents. Do you not like how they ride? If you are happy with your bents and going to keep them then adding the rocker 2s to the mix would be pointless, The ak jj would be a good choice to mix up your quiver if you charged and hucked cliffs, but you dont. Either replace the bents with a new pow ski or keep them and look into something that can fill the gap between your park and pow skis, Something stiff that gives you good hold for carving with around 100-110 in the waist for sufficient float for bc booters and occasional pow run. Plenty of skis fall under this category. Seems much more logical than adding another pow specific ski.
