I've been browsing around looking for my dream desk,
and I've actually had difficulty finding that many really sleek, cool, desks.

why would i want a column right in the middle of where my legs go. is this a desk for midgets who don't need leg room? terrible design and for 5,000 dollars, and instead you should buy a gold plated ak-47 and blow your head off.

My friend works for a company that designs and produces wood and acrylic furniture. He does the CAD designs, and I must say, he comes up with some awesome concepts. I'll ask him for some CAD screenshots.

I want a lirary in my house when im older and hopefully ill have a leather lined deask with a wooden fixer in the middle (like there are other pieces of leather usually triangles holding in the wood. gold rivets holding the leather in place and a green bankers light. Super classy but that is what i want and always have since i was a little kid.

depends on what kind of desk you're looking for.

I personally have a thing for drafting desks. They are super versatile, can fit most any need.
I have one not unlike this, except the legs of mine are wood, not metal.

If you want a nice desk for study, etc, you could find something like this that has a lot of storage but a small footprint.

and if you want an executive desk, definitely find something along these lines, modern, understated, and with a touch of elegance depending on your choice of wood.

note the Eames executive chair in the last two pictures. You basically want one of those no matter what desk you end up getting, as anybody with a modicum of taste or any knowledge of furniture design will give you mad cred for owning one.
