185 JJ or 195 AK JJ (Armada)

im 5"11 (and growing im 16) advanced skier should i get 185 jj or ak jj? i like to go fast on piste and off pist but i also like going through the trees... is the ak jj nimble enough at slower speeds?

i would go with the 185 personally i am around the same height and when i demoed the 185 i didnt seem to have a problem. However i am debating which skis, because i am 16 as well and still growing and have yet to demo the ak jjs but if i were you i would try and ski on both of them.

I have 185's and i am 6'1 and they seem to work perfect. For anyone who isnt trying to slay ak lines 185's would usually work unless you are super tall.

185 JJ. It will charge hard enough but be way better in trees. way more versatile than the AKJJ

yeah i think ill stick with 185 :P does anyone know if there is any difference between the 2010/2011 model and the new 2011/2012 185 JJ?

Yeah it is topsheet only, except for the addition of the AK JJ which gets a touch wider at 120mm underfoot and is about 25-30% more stiff overall.  As for the original question do not get the AK JJ, stick to the 185 and you will be far more happy.

if you got 195's, they'd ski you before you could even think about skiing them.
