i played wow for a while. got gladiator a couple times, raided in a top us guild. pretty much quit out of boredom and i felt like i did everything there was to really do. that, and the game kept getting progressively more childish and silly.
i played dota for a while. rocked some epic games with people on my floor in residence back when i was a freshman. went to internet cafe's and challenged other dudes from around. that shit was awesome for a while, but again it got repetitive and old.
i played black ops for a while. got to the point where i was completely destroying everything in the tougher game types, free for alls, all that. so that shit got boring too. plus, the whole "LOLUMAD" teenage nerd scene makes you not want to associate with them, so i eventually stopped doing that too.
and now i'm just chillin. the only games i ever play are on my 64 and the occasional flash game / phone app
i know a lot of people that play league of legends and battlefield though. i just figure it's a bad idea for me to get into that shit as i have an addictive personality and im so fucking competitive that ill just play it until im pretty much the best. baaaadd idea. need to resist the temptation altogether.
oh yeah, i tried heroes of newerth a few times too, but didnt like it. it was just dota but a little more up to date. couldn't get used to it..
diablo 3 should be interesting, but i'll probably stay away from that one too. blizzard really knows how to ruin your life and have you love it. that's cool as a young guy, but when you're old like me, getting sucked into gaming is bad news.
