RIP Tanner Olson

Yesterday the ski community lost someone who showed nothing but love and passion for our sport. Tanner Olson and his cousin trevor were killed in a car accident on the way back from Mt. Hood yesterday. He was only going into the 8th Grade but shredded harder then most people I know. Love and Blessing go out to you boys and your family.

Or we can not blame anyone, and just remember him.

by the way they got hit head on by a drunk driver is what we are hearing. so why dont we blame drinking and driving if anything

fuck, all i can say is fuck, on friday i skied with him the last run of his life at MT hood, i was chilling with him before he g.ot on the airplane, and then this happens, fuck, fuck, fuck , fuck.

RIP  tanner you  the man, i remember you literally hoping on skis in like 6-7th grad, and by the end of your 7th year in school you were throwing d spins, with eric bergoust coaching you one on one, telling me  dang "this kid guna be good".  ha well turns out he was right , you killed it man, really hard bro.   you have an amazing family , prayers go to them, and to your cousin , trevor, the sober driver, RIP. shred on man

Tanner was a kid I always looked up to, in a weird way. There aren't many people out there who could pick up skiing and in less than 2 years be better than a lot of his buddies. He picked up on everything so fast, and his dedication really was moving. It's hard to believe i spent his last week with him, skied his last run with him. He was an inspiration to everyone around him, and to me especially; even if that inspiration involved being called a pussy until you dropped in, or having pee sprayed all over you in the shower. I guess that was just Tanner's sense of humor, and we learned to love him for it.

Tanner once told me that his favorite skier shared his first name, and I figured this quote was appropriate.

"He's just an all-around skier. To me, he's the best skier in the world. He can do every aspect of it. He's good to be around because I feed off his energy; he pushes me."

RIP Tanner Olson. You were too young and too talented to be taken like this. You wont ever be forgotten.

Omg i'm in shock. I just skid and hung out with the kid this week at hood. He was a great kid and everything he did he tried his hardest at. He pushed me to try my first backflip. I can't believe that in 2 days from not seeing him he's gone. RIP man. you will be missed

Coached this kid since he started skiing, literally landed a double misty on diving board the first time he tried it, kid had a bright future. Gonna miss you Tanner, shred the gnar up there.

first off. i have to extend my prayers to his family and freinds on this tradgy.   13 is way to young to go out.. and by the way it sound he was a rad kid on th e way to being a great guy.   as skiers regardless of your style and all that bullshit.. things like this make us feel sad that one of the fold is now gone. 

    hwy 26 is called blood alley to us oregonians and i  have seen some fatal car wrecks . i have had close calls my self on that road.   its just the nature of that area. and the fact that alot of semi truck are driving on it.  drunk driving is never safe.

i hope that he is at peace with his life and that he is skiing and having a good time where ever that may be.    for some one who is 25 and skied most of my life. and think about all the great people i have met and places i have gone.  i can only be sad that this young gun got taken out of this amazing world.

Really awful to hear about this. Tanner was always stoked to shred. We met him this winter at Lost Trail, he helped us build some jumps and even threw his first dub.
