Some of my favorites aren't actually classified as movies, but it's war nonetheless.

- With the Marines at Tarawa, because it's so damn raw and it is one of the first films of an amphibious invasion start to finish.

- Letters From Iwo Jima, one of the best no question, thoroughly an enjoyable movie.

- We were soldiers, at some moments it's a little too hollywood, but goddamn that story is intense.

-WWII in HD, not really a movie, but It felt like one.

-Inside the Vietnam War (NATGEO), it will tell you what you need know about combat in Vietnam.

-The Kingdom, not really war or true, but I was stoked the entire movie.

-The Hurt Locker, because fuck bombs.

- A Very Lond Engagement, that one is for the ladies ' ; )

I can't remember the name, maybe someone can help

Its about a German when Germany was divided and he had a special type writer that he would have to hide when guests and military came in and then he would write articles about what was going on....If you have seen it you know exactly what I'm talking about

love platoon and apocalypse now.

even though apocalypse now is probably about 5 other things before war at 6 or so. its more art to me, not really a war film kind of, but its set into the vietnam war scene.
