They are rated up to 180ft deep. Should be no problem....

the exact reason i never change mine.  I dont give a shit about the audio cause it sucks anyways and i think my go pro spends more time underwater than not.

I just did snorkeling in St Thomas with mine and it was fun, and they go a lot deeper like people have said so go for it

as said before they work up to 60 meters deep. but you should also consider that colors disappear at certain depths...

i have seen people wrap electrical tape around the line of the back hatch just to make sure no water gets in, try it out im sure it would be fine

electrical tape wont do shit against such pressure....

you're better off making sure that the seal inside is clean, 1 hair between the seal and casing = flooded housing ....

an as mentioned, you'll need to color correct the footage...

i'm an aspiring diving photographer and from around 10m i use a bright red filter, if you would use it on the surface, your pics are all red, but at depth they turn out fine :)
it's very weird ....
