I'm looking for a pair of new bindings and stubled across a pair of K2 skis (nothing special) mounted with a little bit older, but still modern Pivot 14 "racing bindings" for really cheap and in like new conditio. I'm thinking of buying and selling the skis without the bindings and I'll pretty much break even or close to it.....so almost free bindings. Anywhoo, would this be a wise buy? I've been looking to upgrade from my PX 12s to the pivot heelpiece. Is there a difference between the race version of the bindings or are they all the same? I've looked at Looks website and found nothing.
Well, I went ahead and bought the skis and bindings. Looks like I'm getting skis that retail for $1300 new and like new Look Pivot $350 bindings for $55. Proof:
Alright, cool. You got that answer in right before I responded, haha. I'm still skeptical on this purchase. From what I've read online, this store is legit, but I will be calling them tomorrow to make sure what they had online is still in stock. For the price, I can't really go wrong though....
I cant say how those bindings hold up for freestyle impacts, but in the race world, they did quite well. A large amount of my friends skied on Dynastar and Look bindings. They had nothing but good things to say about the bindings.
