Computer update help.

So I tried to download the trial of Adobe Premiere and realized that I can't not run it, so is time to upgrade the computer. Here are the specs to my computer
Hp Pavilion
AMD Athlon(tm) 64x2 Dual
Core Processor 4200+
2.20 GHz, 1.93 gb ram.

Here are the requirement for Adobe Premiere cs5

My question is, what do I need to update, and what in your opion would be the best/cheapest option to do so.

you'll probably need a whole new computer, your processor isn't up to speed, and to upgrade that you'd have to replace your motherboard too most likely.

Could i get away with torrenting vegas 10, here are the specs for it
•Microsoft® Windows® XP 32-bit SP3, Windows Vista® 32-bit or 64-bit SP2, or Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit
•2 GHz processor (multicore or multiprocessor CPU recommended for HD or stereoscopic 3D)
•400 MB hard-disk space for program installation
•1 GB RAM (2 GB recommended)

vegas blows compared to premiere but as a temporary fix, yes it would work

You only have 2 gigs of ram now, I would bump that up to 4, 6, or even 8. How many slots do you have for ram? My laptop has 4gigs..

In my opinion best case scenario would be to buy some ram now bumping your current comp up to 8 gigs. But first try and have an idea of what your next purchase will be so you can make sure whatever you pick up is compatible with the new motherboard.

This may not work if you buy a complete. For instance I just got an HP desktop which automatically came with 6gigs of ram and then was bumped up to 8gigs for free.

Yeah I just got sony vegas 10 for my computer, as of now it works fine. So I am going to save up my money for a computer and just use Vegas for now.

Save money for the hardware and don't worry about needing money for the software, that can always be torrented.

I'm talking about upgrading to Premiere as well. I haven't had to worry about purchasing any software thanks to torrents so far. i.e. Adobe Suite, Win7, Vegas, etc.

I tried to torrent, adobe but my computer can't handle it, but vegas will do, and post above, its all good.
