Polarized filter for gopro?

i've been looking into these for super sunny days, and was wondering what the film buffs of NS think of them. here is a good example, do you think it would make much of a difference?http://stuntcams.com/shop/gopro-polarized-lens-filters-p-143.html

hmmm that's interesting, i have a UV filter for my D3100, does it do the same thing on both cameras?

polarizers and UV filters are two different things. polarizing filters saturate blues in the sky, and cut out reflections. UV filters cut out some haze but are mostly used as lens protection these days.
putting a polarized filter on your gopro would definitely help cut out some light and from the snow and deepen the blues from the sky.

If you had one choice for a filter i would say go for the polarizer. Neutral-Density filters and Polarized filters are the hardest to replicate in post producion with out killing quality.

For a go-pro it might be good. It would cut out a lot of glare from snow or water on sunny days. If i had a go pro i wouldnt. The whole selling point of a gopro is its durability. A glass filter isn't very durable

but its not a glass filter. its a gel that slips in between the lens and case. so no durability loss.

yeah this sounds like a solid buy. i'd be curious to know how well it fits. seems like a gel could easily wrinkle/bubble

I always use a polarized filter when I shoot for skiing. It def makes everything look better. I usually leave the UV on too, though. You don't notice too much difference on the slopes with it, but I'd rather protect my expensive polarizer then have it ruined by snow.
