I would like to see all the newschoolers who have quit the Ganja and why.

I quit weed and why i quit is because I stopped being ignorant and realized iwas to young to be smoking an illegal drug.

if youre pretty young, good on you for stopping for a while. i'm a huge advocate for weed but the one thing i would never condone is people smoking it too young

i quit when i was 14  started when i was 13 also shit was getting spread around around i was doing more serious drugs then weed. Also i never knew if someone told a teacher then i would get fucked over by a random drug test.

and i dont get why you quit cause during the summer its fine cause really theres nothing else to do and you dont have school but i can see why you could quit during school but its kinda pointless to quit over the summer.

good on you man. Smoking weed is perfectly fine when you're older but 13 and 14 year olds shouldnt be smoking. Get back into it when you're older and you'll be happy you waited

I almost quit because of school then realized it's entirely possible to smoke weed and ace classes. All you have to do is not smoke when you have class or study and not have class or study time when you smoke. So really I don't know why I'm posting in here because I've never quit.

Ok, let's be honest with ourselves here. You're not quitting it, you're taking a break for now to reassess where you'd like to be at. Don't even think about saying quit, because you sure as hell haven't proved anything yet.

Regardless, if you feel like smoking has had a negative impact on some aspect of your life (and that the potential positives/negatives from this usage aren't worth it) then take a break and see how you feel in a week. After that week, assess how you feel psychologically, physiologically, and mentally. See if it's worth it to you.

Sometimes it helps me to exercise instead of smoking, because you can honestly get a more intense endorphin high running than you can blazing. Or reward yourself with smoking after you've accomplished a goal or two for the day. You are the person most knowledgeable about your own habits, pleasures, and vices, so aid yourself through this.

I hope this helps. I can tell that you're young, and having been through this thought process before I feel as if I can (somewhat) aid you, so if you have any further questions/concerns shoot me a PM.

Its not about about having a bad reputation or even your lungs (even though its not good for you). The reason why I'm against kids smoking weed is just because the brain is still developing and shouldnt be fucked with by psychoactive drugs at that age. Once you're older and you're brain can handle it then its perfectly fine to smoke weed errday

I came to realize that smoking weed was more a trendy social thing than anything else. It was causing me to be lazy not shower as much and drag along. I couldn't get the more important things in life done and I noticed a difference in my attitude all together. I quit to become more productive and to simply be happier. I smoke every once in a while but mostly with myself or one other person when i know i dont need to do anything else and I can sit back and relax or get some of my side/fun design work done. I wouldn't generalize saying it makes everyone lazy because I know a few people than can function perfectly being steadily high throughout the day and night but i guess im not them..

well.

Personally I am allergic to weed. After one or two hits, I literally will collapse and have a seizure, and the current theory is that my synapsus overloads from the THC and tries to shut down.

But Ive quit everything, after having a gnarly pill addiction, and having problems with alcohol.

I just grew up one day and realized I didnt need it to have fun, and that I did not need to be wasting my money on something that gave me an artificial happiness for short time spans when I was suffering from depression and it made it worse.

Plus it didnt help, getting kicked out, living in a trapt house, and having a gun held to your head almost daily, to realize that while what the main stoner sees is harmless, theres some fucked up shit in the industry

smoking weed isn't your fucking job, you don't quit it. you simply don't do it anymore. it's not a big fucking deal. it's not cocaine, or heroin, or PCP. you can stop smoking weed at any time. there is nothing in it that your body feels that it needs. it's not addictive, at all. people talking about "quitting weed" are the reason why people think it's so bad.

my body quit weed.. i smoked for 6 years.. hard... not claiming like i am cool. its just what i did.. i had a good job went to school. girls were not a problem... i rember the moment when my weed fuse blew.  me and some budds had just mowed down on some BBQ and we watching the punisher and i loaded up my bong and took a fat rip.. and then something like popped in my head and chest.. and i felt like assshole. and i thought i was dying and shit.. no fun.   powered through it.. and started smoking less.. like 2 bowls a day(not much for me at that time.) but it seemed that my body was done with smoking.

so i went on for a month of smoking less and less just cause i wanted to be high.  and it got the point where i would take one hit. and i would feel like ass.. and i eneded up getting really mad at the world. and shit...  i called up my parents and told them i smoked(they never knew) just so i could make my self accept that i was going to have to quit.     

it sucks.. i miss it so much.  i was in better shape when i smoked my head was more level. but thats the fucking way she goes.

i will never blame weed,, love the smell for days...  love how it looks.. but i know that i prob will never be able to smoke again in my life.. which some times i almost cry..    when some thing is such a big part of your life.  it is damn near impossable to get over.

but i do NOT miss.. selling. dealers.. Fronting.   cops.. being robbed. sketchy things.. smoking Resin.

sparknotes..   body quit weed. my mind had to go along and it sucks.

I've been smoking for around a year now and noticed a few things.

My mom annoys me more because of how nosy she is now.

My dad is closer now because he thinks I'm more mature since I openly admitted it to him, and then reversed any negative he could think of. I also improved my grades since.

My true friends stuck with me through everything, including trying smoking. My acquired stoner friends I have stopped communicating with because they were headed down the wrong road.

Only negatives I've found were occasional forgetfulness the next day, the north east is expensive for bud, and some girls have been turned off by me smoking. Most of them being borderline alcoholics at parties.

move to colorado or oregon or california..there is no reason to quit weed and to be honest i dont consider it to be a drug at all...theres nothing wrong with getting high when you have nothing to do or even when youre skiing..bills are trying to be passed so that weed is made legal...there is one in the senate right now to make weed legal federally. i wuv weed
