Full Tilt: Active Bootboard Question

Alright, so I really want a 6 flex full tilt. So Drop Kick's and booters are out. I ride pretty much 100% park so I was thinking of getting the tom wallisch hot doggers. I like the look of the full tilt classics much better and the only difference is the shock absorbing boot board. So NS, if i go with the classics will it make a big difference not having the shock absorption?

Not really. Get good footbeds, those will help your shock absorption way more. And you can always buy the other boards from FT anyway.

I have the wallisches from this year (the red ones). You can feel a slight difference, but in all honesty, it's not that big of a deal. The shock absorbtion is nice to have for big landings or if you land a bit too far backseat, but it's by no means nessecary. A lot of people excel in the park on classics (i.e. will wesson this year), so it's not that big of a difference. Actually the overlap between the classic and the hot dogger is unbelievable. It's kinda like this year's ar7 and thall. Slight differences in near-identical products to allow for a "superior" pro-model and make more money. The only reason I didn't get classics is because they were sold out at the shop I went to, and I didn't have enough money for konflicts. I've already put a flex 10 tongue in and It's way better.

I have classics (which i absolutely love) but when I got them it was my shops first year with Fulltilts and they just switch the foot boards out of a hot dogger because they didnt know the difference or something. So it may have been a dick move cuz now there's someone out there with doggers and the rigid board but whatever.

Basically you could always just switch the foot boards with the display doggers when no ones looking...

Hahaha my shop only carries the hot doggers though, so thats out. I might order the classics online so do the hot doggers and classics fit the same? EX if i fit a 27.5 hot dogger would i fit into a 27.5 classic?

YES! The are the same boot size by the same company so of course you are going to fit into them.

pretty much all of the non-influence boots have the same shell, just diff colors,diff flexes, and active/rigid bootboards

Liners are different. The one with the thicker and/or denser liner will fit tighter.

I have found that the denser liners just retain their fit longer. The others just pack out too fast.

Which liner is denser? The Classics or the Hotdoggers?

I'll confirm later today but I'm pretty damn sure my flatmates brand new ('12?) Drop Kicks have a 6 tongue.
Or maybe FT screwed it up again and put a 6 on the 4 tongues or whatever it was they did a couple of years back.

^^^^The drop kicks are 4 flex. And the Hot dogger has the better liners?

I went and looked and it definitely says 6 flex on the tongues... can anyone shed some light on this?

There's quite a difference in the active and ridged boot boards. THe active is squishy for softer landings and the ridged is well..ridged so you have better contact with the snow. If you like the look of the classics we'd say get them and buy an active boot board to throw in your boots. thanks!
