Wide angle for follow cams

Hey guys,
been filming with my t2i and im looking for a good wide angle for glidecam shots when doing some follow work. What would you recommend?

how wide are you looking for? and whats your budget? and do you want a prime or a zoom?

the tokina 11-16 2.8 is a great UWA but its like $650, if thats an issue. check out https://newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/605334/

I just got a tokina 12-24 f/4 that i plan on using with my glidecam. so far i love it. and its not too expensive.

i use a tokina 11-16, by far IMO the best wide angle lens on the market

hands down the best ultra wide angle you can get for an ASP-C. Unfortunately it's sold out from every retailer I've tried.

I like my 17-40L, but you can also go with the tamron 17-50 2.8 for under $500

Both are very solid lenses. The Canon 17-40L has amazing colors but isn't as sharp as the Tamron 17-50, and the 17-40L is also only f/4 compared to the Tamron's f/2.8. Just a couple things to consider if you end up buying one of these.

I absolutely love my Tamron 17-50 but I kind of wish I would have saved a little more for the Canon. The tamron is incredibly sharp but the contrast on the Canon is much better and the overall build quality is much better. Plus you can't go wrong with L glass. The Tamron is definitely a great lens though, I looked around a while on ebay and found mine for 360 new from a US seller.

Rokinon 14 2.8 Prime, pretty wide and cool lens.
Tokina 11-16 2.8 is also sweet.
Tamron 17-50 2.8, baller sharp lens.

All nice lenses, but the Rokinon/Samyang/Vivitar/Opteka/Walimex/etc. 14mm suffers from heavy mustache distortion.

It's a SICK lens nonetheless. Optically superb. Almost Zeiss-like.

Is it possible to correct distortion (any kind, mustache in particular) in video?

yes. And the distortion is easily correctable in photos go on pbn

I LOVE my canon 10-22. Its a little expensive though if you buy it at retail, im lucky I got mine for cheap
