Long shot.... but legal advice needed

Hi i know this is a long shot but there may be some people who could offer some advice. Basically i got a letter in through the post today from solicitors saying ive been selling fake new era caps on eBay ( I had) and now have to pay £375 and an arranged amount or they take me to court! Can i be liable to pay that if i am under 18? ( im 16) Otherwise im going to have to shell up about £500 i don't have....

Any advice would be greatly appreciated +K, oh and please don't give me shit about selling fakes etc when I bought them I didn't realise and I needed the money...

I don't know shit about this but it sounds to me like you're fucked. You sold fake hats on Ebay, man up, pay the money and put this behind you. Court could get expensive. Again I don't know anything about the legal system so my post may be worthless.

Letter through the post? you can just say you didn't see the letter. Don't you have to get served if you do something wrong? sounds sketchy

so you bought them for cheap from somewhere then sold them on ebay? Whats the reason for selling them? Honestly if you are going to take this to court talk to your parents and their lawyer. If anything your parents won't kill you because you didn't know they were fakes, even though something in your story tells me that you are lying.
