Sequence picture with a gopro?

I don't know much about photography at all, but i've looked into how you make sequence shots.

would it be possible to make on with a gopro 960? i lost my manual with all the settings and stuff so i don't know how to take fast pictures, and i also dont know what the mode with 3 overlapping squares means.

im almost positive you can take a picture with the gopro every 2,4 ect seconds.. normally sequences are alot faster. not sure sequences would really work with a gopro

if whatever was moving slow, yes. idk if the shutter speed varies to compensate for bright and cloudy days but if it does, you could take a video on a bright day (high shutter speed hopefully) and take frames from that. granted, it wouldn't be hi res, but it'd probably work.

the 3 overlapping squares is triple shot mode, and it takes 3 pictures in 2 seconds. timelapse mode won't help you a lot for a sequence, go with either a video (r3 shoots in 720p and 60fps, so you have more to choose from but you probably don't need that many so r4 or r5 are your best bets) and then take frames from that or triple shot mode if you don't mind only having 3 shots.

he has a 960 so no 720p @ 30fps. not sure how that effects the other modes though.

One option you have is to set the GoPro on video mode, then set it up on a tripod or some surface where it wont move for the duration of the shot you are making. Then, put the clip of your trick or movie into the computer and select specific "frames" and save them as screenshots or photos. After you have all the shots you want for your sequence saved as photos, all you have to do is put them in photoshop and work with them just like you would with a sequence shot with a normal camera.

The only disadvantage to this method is that sometimes the person or thing that the sequence is focused on can be blurry, and also, the quality wont be as good as a sequence taken with a professional camera. Of course, unless you are printing your sequences onto a wall, 720p or 1080p are still very good resolution photos.
