2012 Pre-orders have started!

We just launched our new website with all the new 2012 gear, and pre-orders have begun! We have special pre-season pricing in effect (suits are $395, jackets are $265, and pants are $185) which won't last long. Plus, US buyers get free shipping on orders over $250.

We really worked hard this year to increase the quality of everything we are making, and are proud to have all new factories for every product, new fabrics, refined sizing, better accessories, you name it.

We also have a new warehouse with full time shippers to make sure orders are shipped out quickly and correctly.

Although we continue to get some hate from a select few on NS, we'll continue to do everything possible to prove to the NS community we deserve your business and respect. We are a company of less than 2 years, and have learned a lot from your feedback, input, and help in that time. We were born from Newschoolers, and we won't forget it!

first drop, i love you guys, but you are killing me on shipping prices to canada for a shirt, not to mention the $40 customs fee i basically could buy 2 other shirts on the amount i would spend on shipping, GET THAT SHIT FIXED

Man, some people doesnt care about how technical or good your suits are as long as they are look good/have good design and Im fine with that, but man i think yout design arent really good, you should step up a litle bit your game. I dont think there is any big difference from last years design and this one.
Im not hating on you guys, just putting there my 2 cents.

new materials could make a huge difference. dont talk shit unless you personally own a suit and dont like it.

honestly though, the only thing i like is the black/white jacket.. should have picked up a tall tee back when they were on sale.

You really dont think after all the hate and bad reviews of lasts years stuff that they wouldnt try really hard to make this years stuff better???

yeah whoever designs there stuff doesn't know shit about color theories. So many of those colors don't run well together. Plus their designer is a monkey that shit is unbelievably ugly. if you have any fashion sense at all, you wouldn't buy this stuff. Big ups to him for pushing a company out upon freesking, but honesty that shit could be done way better. yeah as someone said their shit looks ugly now for three years in a row. there shit looks tacky and cheap as fuck, buy anything but fd

I don't think anything really wowed me, and I am not too big of a fan of the outerwear. That being said, I think you guys fucking killed it with the clothing, for just that reason, it didn't wow me. Everybody these days seems to be so focused on creating some kind of new, revolutionary trendsetting shit, but I really dig the simple things like the letter jacket, satin hoodie and pants (plus it's super good priced). Some people, myself included won't dig it for sure, but I think there are lots of kids that will love the new outerwear.

this. Good companies don't start making clothing for a while until they have good outerwear. You are an OUTERWEAR company and should thus focus on making not-so-shitty-outerwear. Everyone who says they like their First Drop must not care about staying dry. I saw some guys on my trip the the PNW with First Drop and they were soaked. Also, how does FD get away with calling their shit 20/20? I've compared the waterproofing to a 20/20 TNF and a 20/20 Saga and they are so much more waterproof.
All in all, don't buy FD if care about quality.

Exactly. FD is NOT 20/20k. My 15/15k Moment suit is way more water proof and durable than FD. Without testing each suit, just by the feel of the fabric, you can tell that Moment feels better.

Dear Kangbang, we know you hate First Drop. Now get the fuck out of all of these threads. We don't fucking care what you think. We have heard it a million times. Half the kids on here buy new outerwear every season anyway, so even if it is bad quality, it's still serving it's purpose for the useful lifetime. You don't have to buy it, so stop complaining about what other people do.

The top two zippers are actually vents.

The lower zipper IS a pocket. But with my last couple jackets, I've found that a super useful pocket for storing gloves, hat, bandana, etc. Good for a somewhat bulky, but not breakable, item that you don't want in a chest pocket.

i mean my pants arent bad, but i have only used them for a day. hope they last all of next season.

personally, i think ldc will blow both saga and fd out of the water this year. not really feelin either of what they are bringing to the table. i thinks its ldc's year to blow up.

couple things to mention after scoping the website:

1. Glad to see some solid colors for those of use who choose not to wear stuff that looks like recycled fabric patches.

2. speaking of recycled fabric patches...goddamn some of those color combos look ugly... the pattern isnt really that appealing and a few of the color combos just dont really seem to go that well together

3. I have never owned FD so I wont really get into the whole "OMG FD SUX LYKE TOTALLY GET SAGAAAAZ" but I do hope for their sake that they can back up this new material hype...it would behoove them to not fuck this one up. I also think that if this years suits come out well and are drastically improved that FD could be a force to be reckoned with in the future.

4. All this release really means for me is that saga will be releasing their pre orders in the very near future..they cant afford to lose business because they dont have their shit in order.

most likely not! i never wanted to be a hater of First Drop but after my experiences this winter using their products, i will never use and will never recommend their outerwear or accessories to anyone! On my jacket, the zippers won't zip back up and if you somehow magically get them to zip up you push in the middle of the zipper and it unzips (i used this jacket for 3 days). On my pants the zippers do the same thing and actually on both cargo pockets the zippers are completely gone and on each side one magnet has fallen out, now if you look at everything i have i take completely great care of my stuff and i figured that is what wasnt happening with everyone else and their First Drop but it wasn't the case the quality is just plain BAD, no other way to put it I had a pair of park gloves they ripped the first day i used them, i emailed First Drop and they sent me out a new pair (great customer service) i used that pair the next day and there was a whole in the same spot so i gave up and just threw the gloves out...also i have a black hoodie i bought from them and the thumb hole ripped out 2 days after getting it and the zipper is very touchy and wont even zip up to the top.

I am usually not one to hate but with my experiences with them i would never give them one penny every again because of the quality they had last year, and oh last year didnt they have "new fabric and designs" as well?

think twice before purchasing.
