Gopro video editing help

I downloaded vegas but that thing is really confusing to use.  Can anyone recommend me a cheap or free editing software that will work on a pc.  I just want to chop up my go pro shots into an edit with some music, slowmos, black and white maybe, some text.  Nothing to ground breaking.  thanks for any help

Windows Movie Maker/iMovie? Both should be free with your computer whatever you have...

they dont have time adjustment for slow motion as far as i know

If you are using the old windows movie maker you can slow the footage down to 50%. Also I believe that I movie has slow motion also.

WMM is about the shittiest editing software out there. watch some tutorial videos, learn the ropes of vegas or premiere pro, or if you have a mac, get FCP.

just torrent either vegas or premiere pro. they are both professional level software and aren't too easy to figure out, just watch some youtube tutorial videos. which one doesn't really matter, i have heard people say good and bad about both but i would try premiere pro first.
