where was it? i saw it last summer at the serpentine in hyde park (london) last summer. it was fuckin insane, i've never seen a crowd as dense as that, absolute mayhem. they had to shut down several tube stations because they couldn't handle the loads being ferried in.

but you're right, what an amazing event. who doesnt like watching people voluntarily fly off a cliff into the water, often hurting themselves.

Portland. Basically teams build 'flying machines' to fly off of a manmade cliff into a river. Teams have skits before they fly off, and most of the 'flying machines' are themed. It's a really great time.
