Replying to Salaried jobs with low winter hours?
So this summer i'm working at a resort that's only open summer into early fall. A lot of workers are salaried, so they basically work 80 hour weeks all summer, and barely at all (or never) during the winter, which got me thinking. As I have strongly considered, I want to move out west after college for a couple of years. I'll be living in an apartment and paying rent hoping to have some fun, but I'm not looking for a really serious job, just something that pays the bills. But I really just want the option to ski whenever I want.
So I'm asking, are jobs like this only available at summer resorts, or are there jobs like this at other businesses? Anyone have experience doing this?
Thanks.
