Are pentax lenses anygood?
i've recently purchased a pentax k to eos adapter for $15.
no big expense, i own a pentax prime 135.
i want to know if there worth looking into.
other then that any lense questions hopefully well get some input.

check out the 50 1.4's. you can get them for like $100 in great condition on ebay. they also make some other good primes, id say just look around!

That's Interesting. The EOS 50 1.4 is around $450 and the pentax 50 1.4 is over 100 less. i doubt it's just because canon is a more popular name. but i suppose it could be.

sorry, I was talking about the old manual pentax 50 1.4. its only like $100 used. if you're doing mostly videos, def go with the manual, but if you're doing photos i would get the canon instead of the AF pentax

I recently just got three old manual Pentax lenses and some adapters, and I've liked them so far. 55 1.8, 135 2.5, and 28 3.5. Pretty sweet for getting them for free.

In my experience, the Pentax SMC 50mm 1.4 is a far better lens than the EOS 50mm 1.4. The Pentax is sharper, has more contrast, and Zeiss-like colors. Plus the housing is easily better for video purposes. And for $100, it's a steal.
