on a side note, I've been in a dream before where i've noticed i've been dreaming, and when I pinched myself I felt pain and didn't wake myself up. Aren't you supposed to wake up or not feel pain or something?

Lucid dreaming, It's kinda of a redic claim but I acutally know how to do it, you can train yourself to do so. By every now and then when you're fully awake and functional pinch yourself to make sure you feel pain drop something to make sure there is gravity and let yourself know you are actually awake. Do this 5 or so times a day for about two weeks and your brain will eventually remember to do so when you're sleeping and BOOM lucid dreams. You can control everything to your liking....

oh my god that would be so crazy.

and to 1337, yeah lucid dream. i looked into trying to do that, but never took the time to keep a dream log.
when i remember a dream though i think about it hard, and i can usually connect everything that i remember from the dream to something that happened in the day.

i dreamed i was skiing and to skip lift lines we would just hang on onto the lift cables. midway up the mountain i realized that this was impossible and that i must have been dreaming, so i let go for shits and gigs. woke up on the floor a few seconds later, it kinda hurt.

Hahahaha i really want to try that....

On the note of lucid dreaming i lovve it, mostly i fly around and find hot boys in my dreams, i find i do it pretty often. When i was little i would always say to my friends that i could control my dreams but no one would ever know what i was talking about.

I've had dreams where i have been lucid many times, but it seems like i only go semi-lucid... In that i think "hey im dreaming," but i still can't really do whatever i want, and i wake up shortly thereafter.

I can usually connect most everything too, however sometimes somebody will appear in my dream that I haven't seen, heard about, or thought of in any way for months or even a few years. So weird.

I'd say about 75% of the time that I dream about skiing it's similar to the old Jibberish game when you did the speed hack...

I end up going off a jump and just floating down the entire park spinning like a hundred times. Stupid unrealistic skiing game (hack) ruining my dreams.

After reading this thread i downloaded some random torrent of sounds/music to listen to while you fall asleep thats supposed to make you lucid dream. I think i had a dream where i dreamed that i was lucid dreaming... but i don't know if i actually did. I felt this super weird feeling... then in my other dreams i had moments of lucidity, i'd tell myself to look at my hands or to spin in a circle or just say "calm down" or "you are dreaming" but nothing worked. I'd just fall off into blackness...

Oh well, it was cool.

It can take weeks to months to acquaint yourself to have one proper lucid experience - as in, you are completely aware, you are completely in control and you can keep your dream guardian at bay and enjoy the dreamscapes you create for as long as you want to.

I once experienced a lucid where I, Inception-style (this was back in 2007), lived my life doing different things at least I was 79 years old and died happily in my sleep next to my dog and then-gf. When I woke up I had only been asleep for two hours.

Lucids are also a bit on the dangerous side for people with any inherent dispositions towards addiction or loathing for life. You can become hooked away from reality and just drone on until you finally get back to where you have full control - the dreamscape.

I'm gonna start keeping a dream journal because lucid dreaming seems like it would be amazing.
I just hope I'll be determined enough to do it.
Also, I just read a whole article on lucid dreaming and it said the older you are, the harder it's gonna be to lucid dream, so I'm gonna get started. Also, it said when you hit puberty it starts to get harder.

I was convinced I was in a coma while I was on salvia.

The music started talking to me telling me this wasn't the real world and shit and then my two friends became like morpheus type leaders of this world where they tried to tell me this wasn't real life and I could follow them to the real world. A portal opened up and they said if I followed them I would join the real world and wake up, but I would leave this world forever. I denied it cuz I didn'y want to leave this life behind and then the trip ended just like that.

It was freaky and I still wonder to this day if this life isn't the real life or something.
