Just thought I'd start a thread for people to discuss the riot that happened last night after Vancouver's loss to Boston. I think its fucking pathetic and embarrassing that some idiots had to destroy our city just because they have nothing better to do.

I agree that it is terrible and pathetic. For one, Canucks did not deserve to win. They played like shit. After losing all the Canucks fans decide to take to the streets and destroy people's public and private property in Vancouver. Really cool guys.

I watched the whole thing happen live off some Canadian news channel online. People are fucking stupid. I saw at least 8 cars on fire. sears, London drug, and the Hudson bay co. Buildings got windows smashed a the whole stores were looted. Many fist fights. Saw a chick who had gotten stabbed, cars fliped. The one good lol I had was when this idiot tried to jump that BMW that was engulfed in flames and he fell in, he got out but I would imagin he is pretty burnt.

because it wasnt fans you dummy. the black block was in the audience, and people simply came to riot. whether we won or lost shit would have gone down.

i witnessed most of the gnarly stuff seen on the news first hand, it was shocking. never have i seen so much destruction in my life. i was right next to the first car that got tipped, there was still 1:30 left in the game.

the best site of the night though, that i saw in person and not on the news, was people picking up a section of portable construction fence and using it to rush a row of riot cops decked out in full riot gear including shields. it was like a renaissance battle of shields hitting shields. that was fucking awesome.

yeah i was kidding when i made that statement, i believe in karma too much to go through with that shit and i did not think it would get that gnarly. i posted a few first hand stories in other threads, never seen so much violence and destruction in my life, felt like you were walking through a war zone with concussion grenades and smoke bombs being tossed so casually.
