Editing t3i video on imovie

I know it's not ideal and i bought my camera for photography mostly but would Imovie be able to handle the footage from the t3i? Does anyone have sample edits? Thanks

what kind of hardware does your computer have? The program should be able to run it fine as long as your computer's processing power is up to par

is there any secrets that I should know to make the footage look smoother/more crisp. What's the best export settings and is there anyway to import as 30frames so i can make slow mo look smoother?
