147 pages in the 2010-11 Thread. Here start's next season.

Now the season's over, Boston has the cup for the summer, but it's all up for grabs come autumn. Bump it through the slow summer months as transactions occur

Oh, and to start some tradition: LOL @ Anaheim.

welp it looks like the Penguins D has gone on vacation and our Coach... he is blowing my mind right now!

Our D is fucking sad and we have 2 of the best prospect D-men in the world that we probably could have had in our line up all year. The guy is fucking terrible and player development and Jordan Staal.... come the fuck on coach you gotta be able to light a fire under a guys ass at some point. CLEAR THE FUCKING PUCK AND PLAY 60 MINUTES OF HOCKEY AND NO ONE WILL BEAT YOU! Yet they play 20-25 minutes of hockey and then retire.

I wouldnt say flyers have the better team but as of right now their coach is shitting on ours.

ya I mean one positive I guess is that we did get a PP goal last night and that Bylsma did take crosby off the PP and put it back how it was when it was on fire with Sully and Letang in the back.

Ya we go bang bang bang get greasy goals/good hard working goals in the first period. 2nd and 3rd period its all like they are trying to put on some impressive show for everyone. I dont need a fucking shot of highlight real coast 2 coast shit. I need greasy fucking goals that keep us up in the game.

Also the Penguins are soooo fucking soft after the first 20 its scary.. When they stay on the Flyers and follow through with every check and play that hard in your face hockey where they actually work for goals they beat them up....BUT... after that first 20 its like a whole new team with a whole new style of play steps on the ice.

This is why I start to look at coaching faults and I think ours is failing us.

I'd say you guys played with intensity the whole 60, we just wanted it more. I mean a fuckin rookie hattrick in his first playoff series....WHAT???? That game was out of control. Reminded me of the flyers jets shitshow from the beginning of the year.

They're really lettin em play too, so much hitting.

No actually its very true. I am talking about player development and getting rid of some of our horrible dmen that dont fit in our system.

I am not at all blaming him completely but as a coach you need to be able to adjust your game for certain teams thats something he is not doing against the Flyers. They destroy our system and yes, AS I STATED ABOVE BUT SINCE YOU ARE TOO FUCKING DUMB TO READ YOU PROBABLY MISSED IT, WE DONT PLAY HOCKEY FOR A FULL 60 MINUTES.

Also if I do remember correctly last time you came on here saying I was making "stupid comments" a few people called you out... you are clown that has probably never picked up a hockey stick in your life and doesnt know shit about the sport other than just watching it and seeing people give up. you dont understand lines and how its a coaches job to get the right lines out at the right time, you dont understand hockey systems and how they need to be altered when playing certain teams. you dont understand any of this. All you see is a team giving up which I do admit is happening and I admitted it above not just now.

As a coach its part of your job to keep your team motivated and in the game(as in head since he is not playing but you dont get that) and its also your veterans job. This is lacking from both parties.

anyways kindly stfu and educate your self completely on the sport before you try and say someone is making "stupid comments" because really you are the only one that sounds like a fucking idiot.

its also your coaches and scouts jobs to watch game film and determine what changes need to be made to get your team going again and get them to win games.

There was almost no difference the first 2 games except for the change of personnel on the first PP unit. As I said before though, you are too fuckin dumb to realize shit like that and probably thought the PP unit was the same.

Daniel needs to come back. And also I say start the Schneid man next game even if loungo is playing good. Just to gain momentum or something like that. Plus Quick has been beast and Loungo isn't outplaying him, maybe Schneider will.

I am blaming the coach for a few things and also the team. I am not saying he is the number 1 problem with the team its a combination, I am saying I am he is not doing a good job with the team right now.

The flyers are beating his system and his players are all playing like dick. Stop whispering when you talk to them in the locker room and light a fire under their asses.

Clearing pucks, getting pucks deep and defensive break downs have been and issue for us and thats not really a coaching issue I agree, thats players standing around flat footed not moving and not giving a fuck because they are leading a hockey game. These are players faults.

The coaching issues I have are far deeper than what you guys are seeing in the games since I am guessing you guys dont follow the pens year round like I do. Our D is terrible, far worse than the year we wont he cup when it was incredible. We have 2 dmen that are going to be power houses just sitting around tooling people in the AHL and WCHL. I mean its like playing against little kids for them. They need the next level and we need help on D. Constantly fucking up line match ups( something sanders knows nothing about) is a problem. Our PK was decent all year but it started failing us as the year went on and thats when I would look who is out on the PK. We only use Jordan Staal for the most part and well he has been blowing dick so why keep playing him for almost the entire PK. When Malkin was growing up and when he was playing in the KHL they say he was one of the absolute best centers on a PK, I have never seen that tried.

When you get beat back to back and earlier in the season by the same team in the exact same fashion players and coaches need to adjust their games... Neither group is doing so. I am harsh on Bylsma for other reasons than just our playoff games so far but its not just him and I made it seem like thats what I was saying I am not. I just think he is part of the problem and having a coach that is part of the problem is never a good thing but then again neither is having players that create problems.

Ya I am really hoping we can get back to our old hockey and stop trying to put on some fucking show for the home crowd. We play well in Philly not as well as they do here but really none of that is really going to matter unless we can pull out both games. 1 will be nice but I am kind of thinking if we dont get both we are in some trouble.

does anyone remember the finals in 2003? i believe it was devils and Anaheim, every winning team won at home, so the team with home ice won.

i think the pens game could be the opposite, every away team will win.

also, the flower should not be starting the next game, he makes some great saves but damn he is an asshole at times, I hate when he goes behind the net.

but idk what it is but after philly called that time out they looked GREAT, Bylsma needs to use his time out, scream at the team get mad, and light a fire under the teams ass damnit!

idk what to think about this series, pitt just doesnt seem like they want it, its like a slap in the face of the fans.

and im sure a NHL goalie currently in the stanley cup playoffs gives a shit what you think about his "terrible style"

Last time I checked he is stopping one of the most prolific offenses in the league and giving his team a good chance to best the presidents trophy winners

Its the same idiots like you that dont give thomas any credit because of his uncontroversial style...there isnt one set way to play the position

I'm not saying he's bad, I'm saying he plays an unconventional style. It works the same way Rinne's works and even Thomas. He is suited with his team. If Rinne played somewhere else he wouldn't be that great, his D are so good he rarely ever has to stop a rebound. Quick plays really low, watch him with behind the net plays, His D do a great job of giving the other team bad chances and most shots go low. The Canucks had a hell of a lot of shots last night but most of them were weak or very low shots which happens to be Quick's strong point.

As for Thomas he does get a lot of credit, the guy won a vezina and a cup. But he is also able to flop around because he gets bailed out a lot, however playing like that he's also able to bail out his team a lot. He does get some bad goals scored on him that compacter guys like Howard and Crawford would stop.

Well it looks like Daniel is out for the series so our PP will not be getting better any time soon it seems like.
Everyone has got to stay up now, play their best and play with some heart. Last game was better and we were the better 5on5 team, just gotta win a special teams battle for once.

This series reminds a little of two years ago when we played LA and our PK was horrible and were down 2-1. We fixed our problems and came back to take the series. Hopefully something similar can happen this year.

Yah I like Lavi, always show emotion, something AV rarely does.
I just prefer coaches that show emotion, shows the team you care and you wont take any bs from the other team, your players or the refs. Sometimes your players near to hear you pissed off, I know from playing sports then when your coach gives you a good shooting either at half-time or between periods it really wakes you up. The silent treatment can also do wonders, but isn't always as impactful, depends on the team i guess

Yeah nothing really against the guys, they are great coaches, just have different styles.
From playing sports my entire life, I can say I prefer more vocal coaches, I like to know they are invested as I am and even though I know they do care, its nice to hear it

I dont know why you try to argue with me on here it really doesnt make sense. I see what I see, cool you have played hockey, you sure as fuck dont make us think you did..

I am not going to sit here and say I didnt "revise" what I said because of you "calling me out" it kind of made me realize I was a little upset with the team from the first game and then the same shit happens the second game so I go to the Captain of the ship for the problems. Thats Danny B. When I played sports I liked a coach to get in my teams face, it would get us all going. No one likes when their boss is pissed at them for playing like a bunch of losers. He constantly makes it seem like everything is ok when really its not.

As far as being out coached.. In the first game he did a horrible job at getting the line out he wanted for certain mach ups, its like he wasnt paying attention to who was shutting who down.

A coach needs to realize no leaders are standing up and getting the team back into it. A coach needs to try and rally his team when no one else is, also tough to do when the team seems to not give a fuck though.

Fuck yes caps! I was a nervous wreck during OT. Heart beating out of my chest. When nicky b scored I got so pumped. But seriously the caps defensive play looked the best it ever has and Semin was actually a stud during OT in the defensive zone.
