Now the season's over, Boston has the cup for the summer, but it's all up for grabs come autumn. Bump it through the slow summer months as transactions occur

Although philly's first goal was a gift from the refs, I'll admit they out played the pens. Whenever the pens get a large first period lead they get a false sense of security and blow it.

a bunch of penalties, kings waste ages of time on the PP, and then Vancouver rings one off the post.

Questionable on the goalie interference call, maybe should have been waved off. Absolute bullshit on the Kesler call, how the fuck are you calling a penalty on a goddamn snow shower in the playoffs? Wasn't even a particularly bad snow shower. Leads to a goal. Fuckin' refs eh.

Basically I hope they keep calling 6 penalties a period for the whole series - the Canucks will win.

Sean, I'm now cheering for the Blues after my pool draft today. Ten rounds and I have 6 Blues, 4 Rangers.

if i were reffing it i probably would have waved it off, quick didn't have enough reaction time to play the puck after the interference.

but yeah holy penalties. the snow shower was pretty blatant and after the whistle, the refs sort of had to call it, as for the rest of the penalties, that was vancouver's own fault.

Yeah, that Kesler call made no sense to me. I had no clue what kind of 'theatrics' they were penalizing him on there - if it was a snowshower, then that's a fucking JOKE.

Did you see the Weber facesmash on Zetterberg? Whatcha thinkin for suspension potential?

people have been penalized for snow showers before. i think it's retarded to call it, but it's not like the call on kesler was something never been done before. maybe they were trying to make up for the non-goalie interference call? (if the refs thought twice about it)

Okay so here's the thing - the reffing has been bullshit. The call on Lapierre and giving Bitz the toss for that... it's not any better in the 2nd. The Bitz hit was at most a 2 minute boarding penalty, he did hit the guy from behind, sort of, but also on an angle from the side and hit him in the shoulder, not the back.

That being said, the Kings aren't just getting the benefit of the refs here. They appear to be a significantly better hockey team than Vancouver. This game isn't even close. The fact that the score is tied is a freaking miracle. Canucks have no business even being in this game. It's not even that their play is that bad, it's that the Kings are just fucking destroying them.
