As someone who's seen games in 11 different Arenas, I'd say Le Centre Bell (I don't understand how anyone calls it anything else - It's in Montreal, say it frenchly for fucksake haha) is definitely one of the best, but not the best.
I'd argue that the barn in Detroit, short-roofed San Jose and St. Louis, and drunken Philadelphia are all louder... (Note - the old spectrum was either much louder when I saw a game in Philadelphia in 1994, or my ears were more sensitive) But, it was definitely fun to see a game there and not really know what anyone was talking about around me. It was like an equal yet opposite version of Calgary - Just as loud and 'Canadian', but the difference was like comparing
I was treated well as a Sharks fan in the building (granted, they were playing the Rangers - I can't stand any New York team, so I was on their side) and everyone seemed to San Jose was a lot closer to LA than it is...
One thing I will say, getting poutine at the game is fucking rad. You cant get that in the States.
