147 pages in the 2010-11 Thread. Here start's next season.

Now the season's over, Boston has the cup for the summer, but it's all up for grabs come autumn. Bump it through the slow summer months as transactions occur

Oh, and to start some tradition: LOL @ Anaheim.

Yeah the goalie looked really fucking bummed he let one that easy in. I'm surprised we didn't blow out the yotes. I'll take the win, though. That's Howards 100th career win. Props to him on his phenomenal goaltending this year.

I don't even know that this is a good idea. I mean having the Leafs, or any other Canadian team, in it. For ratings purposes you're better off making it St. Louis or even a west coast team like the Sharks.

Detroit and Toronto are pretty close to each other, and are original six clubs. These matchups ALWAYS get a bunch of people watching. You KNOW lots of Leafs fans will show up for this one, seeing as they'll have 114k spaces available in the stadium.

There isn't going to be any more heritage classic from what I understand... so the NHL might be trying to combine the event into one with this.

It's not official yet, but it surely is the word on the street and the "worst kept secret'' by the NHL according to Bettman.


...I'm just surprised they haven't asked the Avalanche to host one in Denver at Mile High or Coors Field yet. I'd love to see who they'd match them up with when they do decide to move the game there.

Interview with Raffi! About hockey! Like omg.

Actually he's really well spoken and makes a very strong case for removing fighting from the game and calling the games a lot tighter to eliminate a lot of the "tough" side of things. While I disagree with him because I don't personally want to see that stuff out of the game, I am surprised at how well he's able to frame the argument.

The problem in Colorado is we have some serious solar radiation so even if its cold day in day out the ice could melt due to the strength of the Sun.

So they'd have to find a well shaded stadium or hold it at night....of all Colorado's fields I think Folsom up at CU Boulder would be the best.

heard it on the radio, then caught some of the reshowing at 1am. How bout scotty hartnell passing giroux in goals this season??? couts with the game winner, good to see him and read headed to the all star.

Is it me or does BOB look way more impressive and motivated than that other overpriced guy.....what was his name again?

Okay. I'll take the Sens seriously... an overachieving team that, while not the worst in the league as many people seemed to predict (I for one didn't really agree with that assertion), Still not a team that should climb above a very low seed if they were to make the playoffs, and by no means a team that's going to go all 2010 Montreal on everyone and make it even past the first round... much less to the Finals.

They're improving, sure. But I don't see Ottawa being more than a minor thorn in the side of other teams that have much better chances, this season.

If I were a sens fan, I'd be stoked they are competing though. That's for damn sure.

man, kaberle used to kill it in the shootouts! the leafs would put him in regularly and he would score most of the time. I know what you mean though, not the first guy you would expect in the shootout but historically he's been pretty successful in them

...they are a team that somehow shows up against the teams that matter, yet can't do shit against weak competition. Sorta weird.

Anaheim despite its position is still a very talented team, and they've been playing better lately winning 4/5 I think.

I think this upcoming break and home games will do the Canucks some good....think the likes of Edler, Bieksa, Sedins and co. are all a little worn down and as such their games have slipped as of late.

They have been one game on one game off (aka the Shitty Canucks we usually see in October) for the past 3 weeks since the game against the Flames on the 23rd. It's just not good enough. They need another big run.

I felt bad for miller last night. Getting smoked in with your family watching would be shitty. It wasn't all his fault though. The Sabres' D played like shit in front of the net.
