147 pages in the 2010-11 Thread. Here start's next season.

Now the season's over, Boston has the cup for the summer, but it's all up for grabs come autumn. Bump it through the slow summer months as transactions occur

Oh, and to start some tradition: LOL @ Anaheim.

the problem/benefit here is if you're from Boston, or even if a direct family member like your dad is from boston, then you will support the Boston teams through and through, even the ones you know nothing about. It's just how people here are.


Though I will admit, having been to way beyond my fair share of sox games, it has gotten ridiculous there. Singing sweet caroline cheerfully when we've just blown a 9 run lead and the like....But don't think the garden is exempt either. The number of people i heard talking about "look-ick and seg-win" this season was absurd. It just wasn't as prominent because the bruins did nothing for so many years whereas the sox failed so often, and fans became known as the most pathetic and miserable fans in sports, and everyone is a hipster and wants to claim they were there.



its the championship bump. For my generation, i say if you don't remember mo vaughn riding the horse, losing to the indians, or know who aaron boone is, then get out.

this sens/rangers game is real good so far. first period was a little ridiculous. surprising it's still 0-0.

Dont really know who i want to win but still fun to watch some playoff hockey.

It seems the word "Fan" has been really skewered now a days. Anyone who likes a team and enjoys watching them is a bandwagoner as opposed to someone who has done the same thing but for longer. But as long as they don't jump ship when times are in the shitter, I am open arms for them being a fan.

Rangers, baby!!!!!!

that was a great series. Ottawa played a great series. never expected it to go to 7 games after the regular season or even after the rangers rolled in game 1 but the Rangers were lucky to win Game 6 and 7. Lundqvist, as usual, kept us alive. Hopefully they can keep winning games. So amped right now though!

ottawa totally deserved that game. that was some of the most aggressive possession at the end of the 3rd period. they played their asses off and new york was able to shake their defenses with always having a man hanging to get an odd man rush

caps rangers will be a fun series but i'm bummed ottawa didn't advance eventhough i have never had any interest in that team. they still deserved it

i fucking hate this bullshit delay of game rule. i think that's a pretty fucked up penalty to give in such a clutch situation like that. nj questionably tripped which results in the puck going over the glass, and then they get a two minute penalty. regardless of the team, i think that's a bullshit call.

Tampa Bay seems like the more likely team considering his wife lives there, a more established team who have tasted the playoffs and less media pressure. 

The media in Toronto would be hell, that's saying if he doesn't play up to "expectations".  I always imagined Schneider being the one whisked away to another team.

So being a life long Minnesota fan I'm used to picking a team to root for during the playoffs, but with these teams remaining in these playoffs it's tricky.

I'm thinking I'll root for the Blues cause bakes and oshie being from Minnesota.

but the Rangers would be cool to cause my roomate grew up with Derek Stepan playing basement hockey all the time.

It'd be sweet to see Ovechkin get a cup for the Caps.

I'll enjoy the rest of these playoffs for sure, and just hope and pray that the Wild will be in the playoffs next season...I love all the sports and all the MN teams but out of all of them I want to see a Stanley Cup in Minnesota so badly.
