Band wagon fans don't piss me off that much. Love em or hate em, they bring so much cash to their organizations. It's like when people complain about noobs skiing at Jackson Hole, but they don't realize that if all there was were just the die hard, dirt bag guys who slay on the cheap, the mountain and it's amenities would not exist. You'd have no room for improvements, lifts, staff, ski patrol, etc. I know some of the more grassroots types would love just being able to skin up and click in, but it's not very plausible. Sports teams are businesses, the sooner you realize that, the sooner you'll be able to stomach the occasional fair weather fan. It pisses me off with the Red Sox though, especially the women. When you have the second highest payroll in baseball but lose the first10 games of the season, you aren't supposed to be all jacked up about your team. With that said, I've been watching the sox, bruins, and pats since I can remember. I watch the Patriots religiously and have since the pre-Brady, Pre BB, Pre-Kraft era (Drew Bledsoe is a pretty sick skier, if you can believe it) and I used to get pumped to come home from school to watch the Bruins with my dad back when Bourque and Sea Bass were running people over. I think Anson Carter was one of my favorites back then just because I loved seeing the contrast between his skin and the ice. Not a racist comment, by the way. It's the same reaction you have when you see a brotha ripping on the slopes.
Cliff notes: Who gives a shit about the bandwagon fans. If you have to tear them down at every turn, chances are you could be insecure about your own dedication. If you were a true fan you'd be happy that these sheep are pouring cash into your local organization, its charities, etc.
