Now the season's over, Boston has the cup for the summer, but it's all up for grabs come autumn. Bump it through the slow summer months as transactions occur

Well somehow, The wings got eliminated both this season. Because some of our love juices from violating the coyotes last year got transferred into chicago.

Unprecedented year for a team I didnt expect to make the playoffs after losing bryzgalov...

First division championship in franchise history.

First playoff series win since they were the Pre-Teemu Jets.

I want to congratulate them... but then again there are very few actual Yotes fans - Most are bandwagon hoppers or people who rep the Copper state...

It's painful to watch the Hawks skate circles around phoenix like they did this game and come out with a 4-0 loss. Painful.

not just you. Ottawa got shafted by the refs. seriously, they should make an apology since their terrible reffing cost Ottawa the game. such fucking BS.  I'd love to say NY played better and deserved that win, but the only reason they won is because of the refs. shameful

there's been a lot of that going around this year. where do they get these clowns? it's getting to the point where there should either be some sort of a review system, or disciplinary action against the refs for blatant fuck ups.

As much as I don't wanna see this, I really think it would be an incredible series for round two. I really want a kings flyers final too, carter and richards VS the new flyers. I bet they'd still get a warm reception in philly.


I don't like to blame shit on calls or the refs, but seriously some of those ottawa penalties were weak. And I kinda agree with lundqvist, that last goal IMO was clearly kicked in, kinda crazy they reviewed it and still gave it to em.

Oh and according to most here that's nothing cause this is playoff hockey and regular season games don't mean jack. Even though we stomped the pens regular season and post season. I'm a little worried bout the rangers, although the sens are giving em a run for their money.

I saw the replay, it sure as shit looked to me like he got some traction on it when his foot went over it. It sure looked like it picked up speed after going off lundqvists stick. and nobody else's stick was in there. Yeah it didn't hit the side fo the blade but it sure looked like maybe the edge caught a little of the top of the puck.

can someone link me to the video replay? i caught the goalie's post game interview where he was bashing the call, but then there was no replay of the shot in the post game that I saw. i'd like to see what all of the fuss is about.

This is how most guys are in the league, hockey's superstars are different from other sports' superstars. In hockey they realize how much each individual adds to the team and that each player needs to be willing to sacrifice whatever to better the team.

How about the coyotes/preds match up?  It's relatively smith vs rinne.

do we think Johanssens shot was going in? It looked like it was gonna hit the pipe. Tough one to call. The Tampa one was legitimate for sure. That's the downfall of Thomas's style, he's way aggressive, so anything off the backboards is a heart attack waiting to happen.

True I dont think the shot was actually going in..I think it was hitting post and kick back out but I like to think it was going in for thomas' benefit haha

When you're as aggressive as he is you're definitely prone to getting burned. Case in point the chimera goal from sunday, it was pretty much a 2 v 4 and thomas was super aggressive playing the shot so backstrom (?) just passed it right by him...easy goal

Dude, that shot from Ovechkin at the lefthand circle area...he had Thomas smoked on that. So lucky that he lifted it above the net, because he was dead to rights on that one. Ovechkin is overrated, but whenever he skates into that sweet spot, I shit bricks.

On another note, I'm hoping that game got Seguin into a groove. That kid has an extra gear, and when he kicks into it, he's really quite something to watch. That move on Holtby was ill. Now they just need to get Lucic into it...he's be such a no show. It's maddening.
