147 pages in the 2010-11 Thread. Here start's next season.

Now the season's over, Boston has the cup for the summer, but it's all up for grabs come autumn. Bump it through the slow summer months as transactions occur

Oh, and to start some tradition: LOL @ Anaheim.

ummm typically arenas don't host both basketball and hockey on the same day.... the man power required to transition from the two so quickly, as well as clear out and clean the arena usually occur over night. NHL games usually only occur during the day on the weekend... usually it's to prevent scheduling conflicts with other games on TV. Plus it's fun to get drunk during the afternoon.

Did you even read all of my comment? Vancouver's star players that brought us to the cup final last year did not even show up. Kesler was HUGE last year in the playoffs. He didnt do anything in the playoffs. He didnt score in 17 games. I can truly say I am very disappointed in my teams efforts in the playoffs. You can watch how they played last year compared to this year and it just wasnt the same.

First sentance of what you just quoted said the same thing.

That said, at 5.33 hit with the cap increasing this offseason, coming off a pretty strong performance in the playoffs and taking a team to two straight pres trophy seasons? They would be silly not to keep him, even if schneider is fantastic as well..

Canucks should have also NOT have traded Cody Hodgson. He could have been a huge contributor in the playoffs, unlike Kassian who took penalties in game 1 and 2 and then was scratched. Stupid move by Mike Gillis right there.

just plain horrible goalie interference call on foligno there, getting run into a goaltender when the puck is in your skates does not equal a goaltender interference penalty. a ham sandwich could have made a better call there.

I may just be a bitter fan whose team got knocked out in the first round, but I'd love to see a Rangers-Flyers matchup in the second round. The Rangers have had the Flyers number all season.

not everyone in New England is a bandwagon fan. Boston has had a pretty fanatical group of hardcore fans for quite some time. They got lost in the Pats/Sox limelight for a while, but last year has definitely swelled the ranks. I don't see why this is a bad thing, their success has rejuvenated interest in hockey in New England big time. The Bruins have a pretty storied history as well...it's not like someone rooting for an expansion team that's only been around for 20 or so years. The bees have been in it since the beginning.

Also, any thoughts on who's gonna take home the Selke Award? As a Bruins fan, I'm partial to Patrice Bergeron. That guy is the only player on the team that brings his best every night. He is lights out on the dot too.

NHL.com is saying that Bergeron is their projected winner. About time it it does happen. Nominated the past 4 years. Guys plus minus and faceoff numbers are stellar. I think he has over 60 pts this year too. He has to be one of the most professional guys out there, even though the press in DC has been giving him shit for "head hunting," which I think is completely irrational.

Idk dude, Bergeron's numbers are sick. The one thing working against Beckes are his faceoff numbers. I'll be pissed if this dude doesn't get recognition around the league for his hard work.
