...regardless, in todays NHL, that hit is blatently suspendable. Yeah, if this was 2001 or something, I'd have shrugged it off and said "that's hockey" but in this day and age where the league is trying to prevent guys from going to the hospital, I don't see how you could say "that's as clean as you're going to get" with that hit. No, it wasn't really late, he was about a sticklength away, but he jumped into the hit, which has no place in this league if guys are going to leave on a stretcher.
Even if he didn't go to the hospital, I'd have said that was a typical, dirty, Raffi Torres: "I'm going to ruin everyone's day" sort of a hit. I wish he was still in Columbus so at least he wouldn't be doing this bullshit during the playoffs. He's got a history of this shit.
Maybe I'm still pissed about this, but I'm absolutely not a fan of the Blackhawks, and this is effecting me.
